Who knew Trader Joe’s had skin care products?!
We all know Trader Joe’s is the spot to shop for great seasonings, flowers, and delectable cookie butter, but did you know they also sell highly rated skin care products?
Hip2Save reader, Jessica, gave us the scoop about her favorite Trader Joe’s skin care, and we just had to make a trip and see what other amazing products we could find!
At Trader Joe’s they have a face moisturizer lotion similar to Eucerin/Olay. It is wonderful, super light, and it is for sensitive skin. Plus, it’s only $3.99

Cookie butter?! 🤤🤔 what am I missing out on?! I absolutely LOVE their roasted corn. I have an amazing chip dip recipe that is a hit at every get together/party. But, cookie butter – I must know more about this!

If you want to sample a bit before spending more money, pick up a small jar at Dollar Tree! They carry an italian brand of it.
Trader Joe’s is pretty cheap prices and they let you return anything you don’t like, so no risk in trying the real stuff!
If you ask in store they will open any product and let you try it
The dollar tree cookie butter is Absolutely no comparison to Trader Joe’s brand. Dollar tree cookie butter went straight into my trash can. Trader Joe’s we licked the jar clean! Oh sooo good!

Hi Mary! We use the sunscreen lotion and it’s the only one we use in our family. We have a few with sensitive skin and eczema, and this sunscreen works for everybody. We’ve been using it for years. It’s a great value, too! Try it, if you don’t like it, TJ’s has an excellent return policy. 🙂

Mary, consumer reports released their test results on sunscreen and this came out on top for spray screens.

I use the antioxidant serum after my shower and then the spf15 on top of that. It has helped the dryness in my skin and the value is amazing.
I do the same thing with those two products and I’ve been very happy with the results!
I have used the facial serum, moisturizer and body lotion. They are all great, especially for the price.
The sunscreen is great and ranked among the highest on consumer reports. My whole family uses it and we’ve been very happy with it.

The tea tree oil is a great price! Mix it in a small spray bottle (2 parts water to one part oil) and use it as a natural tick repellent.
Also, My husband loves Trader Joe’s shaving cream. It’s the only one he’ll use.

I’m glad somebody has pointed this out. The first time I used tea tree oil to treat a mosquito bite, I didn’t know you had to dilute it. I totally freaked out when I began having the feeling of burning, followed by tingling and numbness.
Love the sunscreen and have used it for years. I just got the rose hand lotion and it’s my favorite hand cream. The scent is so good, not a traditional rose smell.

My 3 favorites aren’t on the list. The shave cream is excellent, I can’t use anything else, and I have my friend hooked. The coconut body butter is ah-mazing, and there is a pump of body oil that is fabulous.
The rose water toner is everything and I wish it were sold in a bigger bottle! They have a new ultra hydrating moisturizer that I didn’t care for the scent. The acai berry scrub didn’t provide the exfoliation that I like. And I absolutely love the sunscreen! Didn’t know they had a face version so I will be picking that up.
Is there a way to order from Trader Joe’s online? I don’t have one near me unfortunately.
I drive an hour an 30 minutes away to go to Trader Joe’s because there isn’t one any where close to me. ( I put a cooler in my car & if I forget they sell frozen bottles of water. & on your very first visit you get a free reusable shopping bag if you let them know it’s your first visit)
I was just at Trader Joe’s yesterday and almost checked out all that were shown in the images. I read through all product ingredients,. With some that I wasn’t familiar with,I decided not to buy any of those products. .I ended up buying rose toner and argan oil!!! Good price points and choice of products to pick from!

My absolute favorite isn’t on the list – the Gel Moisturizer. It’s compared to La Mer and is $8.99. I’m OBSESSED. I had a facial that left my skin a dried out mess for two weeks after. This fixed it in 2 days. From bumpy desert to smooth, gorgeous skin.
What is the name on the label? I would love to buy it. I’m dealing with desert skin.

I use the spf 15 moisture cream and it is amazing ! I also love the last picture of hydraulaunic serum … very nourishing! I can’t wait to try the Rose products as I did not know about those!
I use the face lotion daily, it looks just like the name brand I used to buy that was several times this ones price. I use it very lightly or it can be greasy for my skin. I saw the spray sun lotion spf 50 on a morning show as “the best of 2019” a few weeks ago. This is a great post, I spend a LOT more on argon oil and recently bought the hyaluronic serum for over $30. I had no idea I could get some of these items at Trader Joe’s. Our closest store is over an hour away but I make frequent trips with a list and sometimes do not have time to browse the body care aisle. I want to try the gel moisturizer in the comments. Next time I will spend more time in this aisle. Yah!

I currently use the Nourish Hyaluronic Moisture Boost Serum and I love it. It leaves my sin so soft (a bit sticky at first, but just let it dry). I have been using the tea tree oil for years for minor breakouts. It is a dream. The shave cream is fantastic too!

My comment above was for the sunscreen lotion; it’s in an orange container. The other option is their sunscreen spray (blue as pictured in the post). Hope that helps!
My son swears by the shaving cream. Says it’s the best he’s ever used. I love the Grapefruit/Ginger Scrub but haven’t been able to find it lately. There are very few items that I haven’t liked at Trader Joes but the Blueberry Acai Scrub is one of them. I kept trying it but didn’t like the smell or consistency at all. I finally threw it away. It doesn’t contain much “scrub”. I also love the Tea Tree Body Wash. It’s very refreshing.
If you like lavender the lavender salt body scrub is incredible. Completely natural (I think the container even says you could eat it but they don’t recommend trying that lol). Super cheap compared to other natural scrubs and it smells so good. I’ve also used the tea tree tingle body wash for years.
I use the antioxidant serum, the hydration moisture boost, both face washes they have to offer and the moisture gel. Have been using for a few months and love them. I am however not in love with the blueberry face scrub. I will use it up but not buy it again. On Saturday my TJ was out of the SPF moisture face lotion, so I was unable to snag that
I love the rose hand cream very rich and emollient. I also like the rose facial mist it is very refreshing. The mid summers night cream is nice it is truly unscented so it wont compete with your fragrance and gives lasting moisture to your skin. I can’t wait to try the gel moisturizer. I have also gave the hand cream as gifts and everyone has always wanted more.
I love the rose facial toner spray. I keep one in the refrigerator and my girls and I love spraying it on during the summer months here in the desert. Also love, love, love the rose lotion! Wanted to mention also if your kids or you like Takis the Trader Joe’s Chili & Lime Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips are amazing!
While the prices are appealing for these beauty items at TJ’s, they are notoriously have a horrific score for safety as far as their ingredients in their beauty products. Their lotion, sunscreens, etc, get horrible scores on ingredients ratings for safety. I have always stayed away from their beauty products because of that. They might have gained some improvement but I haven’t checked their health and safety scores on products in a while. I was too scared years ago after seeing the low scores years ago.
I’ve been using their facial cleansing pads with tea tree oil for several years. I like the convenience of removing my makeup before bed this way. Can’t beat the price $3.99 for 50 round pads. I also use their rose water facial toner every morning. It’s very refreshing, and I feel like it helps my face dry/oily areas be more balanced.
I love the Rose Oil. I have dry skin and moved to the desert which made things more difficult. No moisturizer I tried was hydrating enough. The rose oil is lightweight, smells great, and adds an extra layer of moisture before I put on my moisturizer/sunscreen. I can also use it on its own without another layer and feel hydrated. It leaves my skin feeling really soft too. I can’t say it evened my skin tone or anything groundbreaking in that department but I can say that it hasn’t caused any breakouts. Also great on your hands!
