I have this thing and just dont see what all the hype is about. I never use it. Can someone please exlaine to me what is so great about it?
I use it to set timers, set reminders (it will remind you with a voice prompt) listen to music, make my shopping list, etc. It is a big help when you have more than one because it is an instant intercom system. It has helped me more then once contact my husband when I am away from the house and I need him quickly and he is away from his phone and our home handsets are dead. I can drop in to any room that has one through the app or another Alexa. You can make announcements which will play on all of the devices. My kids ask it all kinds of questions while they are going to sleep. We can see the questions they ask. We also use it to control our sprinkler system and multiple lights. I do read the emails they send me about new skills & features. HTHās
We have 3. Use them all the time fir shopping lists, reminders, to play music through the different rooms, as an alarm clock and my favorite to remind my kids to brush their teeth every morning and night.
Just contacted Amazon, they removed the echo dots and will not honor the 3 for $54.97
