Just bought this for my son. He is ready to start learning basic cooking but we have a gas stove so I am nervous about the open flame. This will allow him to make a couple of basic items for himself this summer!

Brings back memories. I’ve had the basic version (the part that divides the sandwich in two) for over 15 yrs. Wish I would have used it more before going low carb. I never had a bad experience with it.
I had one that cut the sandwiches into triangles back in the 80’s! I had forgotten that they were popular back then.
Does anyone know if this is good quality and if the teflon from the plates wear off after extended use? Thanks!
Just my thought… I can always find the older version of this at my local thrift store for less than $5 if you don’t need the interchangeable plates. Maybe check a second-hand store. It’s my 27 yr. old daughter’s favorite food memory ever , a “tortilla with cheese” made into a triangle sandwich. She STILL loves the sandwich maker!
