I work there and basically they gave everyone 199 points on their rewards accounts. So you just have to spend $1 on a jcp credit card or $2 with any form of payment.
Are the 199 points for new reward members only, or for everyone with an account?
Also, I was told by the cashier a week or so ago that new reward members get $10 reward upon signing up, so I signed up, but never got anything. I’m usually reluctant to sign up for reward programs. I’m wondering if what the cashier said is true?

Yes you should have received an email with a $10 coupon. I’m not sure if this new promotion applies to new members but we noticed yesterday and today that anyone who was a member already had 199 points.
How long before it shows up? I spent $20 yesterday but haven’t received a reward yet…

Yes. I went yesterday, used $10 off of $25 & a $10 reward I had and woke up this morning only to find another $10 reward!! Yay!!!
If i shop in store then how long it will take to show my reward.

Clerk didn’t know anything about this promo and my receipt didn’t print. My rewards account only shows 18 for $18 I spent. I emailed customer service, sure hope they can fix it!

Super frustrating experience … I logged in and verified the 199 reward points were in my account, went to my JCPenney and made the required purchase on 6/15. Called customer “service” today because the purchase points were in my account but no reward issued. After many, many excuses, they finally decided that my purchase points had gone to the wrong email address (not mine) and there was nothing they could do to retrieve them, even though I fulfilled all the terms of their offer and verified my email address at checkout. They claimed their computer system wouldn’t let them make any adjustments. NOT the fault of H2S at all; just sharing my poor customer service experience and venting a little!
