Just the right amount of heat, perfect citrus — its fab on everything from salmon steaks to…….you name it!
Absolutely love this product. Great taste….goes well with anything….I love to sprinkle some on my salads.
I really like this spice, it’s quite unique! Goes great with Mexican or Thai food or soup.
Just the best!! I use it on just about everything. It gives a nice bite to fried shrimp.

Is this essentially fancy Tajin? HAHA??
I was thinking it was the Trader Joe’s brand of Tajin, too! It may even be better as all their spices are pretty amazing.
Just curious how people are using the mushroom seasoning. Bought some a while back but haven’t figured out what to use it for. Anyone have any ideas?
I bought the mushroom one. My husband has used it in ramen. And maybe steaks? But we haven’t been using it a ton either. It does taste delicious though! I’m just not creative. I need recipes.
It’s great on grilled chicken too.
It’s great on grilled, buttery corn on the cob!
I use it when I sauté or roast vegetables in olive oil. I’ve used it on my broccoli, cauliflower, carrot medley mostly.
I was just looking at this same spice yesterday at Trader Joes, Melissaan. I looked it up and some uses are: popcorn, avocado toast, baked salmon, and on roasted vegetables. They say it’s pretty flexible and can go on anything.
Be careful using it on things children may eat because it does have a little kick. Also use sparingly on salted dishes since it is salty. I used it on sauteed exotic mushrooms.
I add it to brown rice
It’s awesome on any veggies, potatoes, steak, and in soups (like cream of chicken, etc.) My favorite use is with grilled potatoes. Cook yukon gold potatoes in the microwave til ALMOST cooked through, let cool, then slice. Layer them in a foil packet (I use 2 big sheets of foil ) with a bit of butter, garlic salt, onion powder, a generous amount of Trader Joe’s mushroom seasoning, and sprigs of rosemary and sage.) Fold up nice and tight and let the packet sit on your grill for at least 20 minutes, turning once. The potatoes get golden and crispy if you give it enough time. So yummy!
Sprinkle on stir-fried veggies.
This does *not* taste like Tajin to me…b/c this has other ingredients added to it. Between the two, I much prefer Tajin to Trader Joe’s chili lime- but Valentina seasoning is the best of this kind!
I agree. The Valentina one is the better one and I’ve been eating tajin since I was 5
I love this seasoning ! It’s gotten to a level where in I cannot eat fruit without this seasoning. I sprinkle it over strawberries , water melon , orange and apple ( tastes out of the world ). Highly highly recommend !!
This is AMAZING on watermelon, mango, pineapple, cucumber…EVERYTHING!!!
this is super delicious on grilled corn, especially if you put a little butter and parmesan cheese with it too. like a variation of mexican street corn.
That sounds yummy!
I’m thinking this would be great for using on the glass rim of a bloody mary or other cocktail!
Fun idea, Laura! I think my Father in Law would LOVE that! Thanks for the suggestion!
I love this on popcorn. It is soooooo good.
I’m pregnant and this with mangos has been my craving! I don’t think it’s spicy at all. My 2 year old loves it and asks for his “salt” on “man-ohs” lol
Congratulations, Ashley! Glad to hear how much you love this spice!
I love this seasoning. I actually prefer it over Tajin. I love to use the seasoning in guacamole, avocado toast, eggs, and on watermelon! Oh, on popcorn too!!
YUM! Thanks for taking a moment to comment! Good to know how you have enjoyed it!
I prefer this over tajin as well. Of course, I use it for just the traditional… seasoning on fresh fruit, especially mangos.
When there is leftover steak, I use this. Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces and sprinkle liberally. Throw some butter or olive oil in a skillet and add the steak. Heat until it’s warm enough to eat. Then I eat it by dipping it in ranch dressing. In South Dakota they call this Chislic. It’s great for keto also!
That sounds really good! Thanks for sharing!
You should try it on grilled watermelon
