Every publix i know of starts their sale on thursdays (i worked there for a while). I actually wasnt aware of any other sale start days. Useless bit of knowledge for the day….. Publix starts the sale and their payroll week on Thursday so that they have the hours if they need to staff extra on weekends, & the stores are less busy at the end of the sale ad/when pay roll week ends. A smart win/win
My son has worked there for 2 years. They schedule him for 25-30 hours and almost always end up calling him in for an extra shift.
Agreed. This was one of the only retail jobs that made sure if they needed staff, staff was on. They always called people in. They are good about making sure the customer is In/Out happy and smiling. If anyone does not know this already heres a literal gem ! If publix charges you an incorrect price. Like if the sale sign is still up or the price sticker is off compared to what you pay, they refund you the entire amount and you keep the item. Free of charge. I know more stores are junping that ship as well but it can be SWEET when its a fairly pricey item. One time it was the biiig box of steak ums and it truly made my entire week !! 🤣
Publix payroll weeks are Saturday to Friday. The weekly sales ad runs Thursday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Tuesday depending on where you live. The payroll week and weekly sales ad are exclusive of each other.

Publix changed their Ad start day to Wednesday in GA.

My favorite sale of all. Chicken tender sub with Muenster and boars head peppercorn gourmaise.. a little bit of lettuce and black pepper too. Darn you Keto! Lol
That being said, I’m pretty sure all of Florida plus some places close to Florida start their ads Thursday, everybody else starts Wednesday.
Just a heads up. The last time they had this sale, maybe April, you couldn’t order thru the app & the lines were insane even at 10 am. So just be prepared for that possibility. Totally worth it for an Ultimate Pub Sub though!
