Frozen Berries Sold at Walmart & Save-A-Lot Recalled for Possible Norovirus Risk
Alma Pak (supplier for Walmart & Save-A-Lot) has issued a recall of frozen berry products for possible Norovirus contamination.
Norovirus is a highly contagious virus that can cause severe nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Young children and elderly people could have serious complications from catching this virus.
The affected products include:
- 16-ounce bags of Great Value Frozen Blackberries with expiration dates of 1/25/2021, 3/7/2021, and 4/8/2021. These were sold at Walmart locations in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia
- 12-ounce bags of Tipton Grove Frozen Mixed Berries with expiration dates of 4/22/2021, 4/23/2021, and 4/24/2021. These were sold at Save-A-Lot locations in Florida, North Carolina, New York, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.
To date, no illnesses have been reported in relation to this recall. Alma Pak encourages consumers who have purchased this product to destroy it or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.

I will pass on any berries these days. Except my blackberries growing at my house.

I still don’t understand how do some of These viruses get into the foods in the first place!
They use polluted water with the pesticides while crop dusting.
