Found this listed under both deals: “Your first SamsClub.com purchase must be made within 30 days of activating your membership.” So I am assuming you lose the $25 off online order if you do not make a purchase online — not sure, but that’s how I read it. I just do not do too much Sam’s Club online ordering, but an FYI for others.

The deal by Groupon is MUCH better… why would I use your link? It is only a $20 gift card nothing else.
I’m researching my options for new tires on my 2009 Toyota Camry. Any idea if Sam’s (including new membership) would be cheaper to purchase 4 tires than Discount Tires, Pep boys or another place? Tires are expensive on a limited budget.

I did this, and got screwed. Groupon puts the responsibility on Sam’s Club, Sam’s Club says it’s Groupon’s reponsibility. I received my free chicken, and planned to pick up the other three items a couple weeks later when I could put the large packages to better use. Whoops – seems they have too be “purchased” at the same time – it’s in the fine print, but it’s so fine, you can’t read it. Literally, it’s not there. But when you’re in Sam’s and trying to get a real person from Groupon on the phone you’re just up a creek. The $25 egift card – you have to purchase something ONLINE. Crap. Thank goodness we at least got the free chicken and they have cheap gas. I’m buying as many $5 chickens as possible this year, because I can’t cook one as cheap and I hear Sam’s loses money on them.
