Wow. Great deal. We have tried all the natural deodorants and this one is the only one that works.

    • Cassandra (Hip Sidekick)

It’s my go-to deodorant too, Kate! Can’t beat stocking up without having to leave home!

  2. Nicole

One of the reviews said it stains clothes. Has anyone else experienced this? I’d love to switch to a natural deodorant.

    • Brittney

I’ve never had it stain my clothing before

    • Lexi

Yes, I think it’s the coconut oil. It stains certain fabrics and T-shirt I noticed, it’s noticeable when wearing it too. Love it otherwise!

    • It’sMe

No stains here and I’ve been using it for well over a year now.

    • ashley

I’ve had staining too in the pit area.

    • Mel

I do like that it works well and is natural , but yes I have also noticed the dark stains on sweaters and shirts. 🙁

    • shop4mybabies

my daughter has an autoimmune disease and cannot use typical deodorants, she tried this one, and it did stain a few of her black tee shirts. However, it just didn’t work for her, she’s 15, and not smelly, she showers daily. She came home from school after a few weeks of using it and said “mom, this native deodorant is too native”. She found herself smelling by the end of everyday. We use Schmiddts now. It’s half the price, and works great, i even switched to it because I loved hers.

      • JH

I agree that Schmidt’s deodorants work very well! I’ve tried both the Lavender+Sage and Jasmine Tea ones. Both worked great! I’ve tried a number of other brands of natural deodorants, including Tom’s, Crystal, and Love Beauty & Planet and always could smell myself by the end of the day (or sooner) and also don’t consider myself to be smelly. I’m glad that I finally found a brand that works for me.

  3. Beth

Same! Would love to switch but have heard about dark underarm stains on clothes – can anyone confirm or deny? TIA!

    • Jessica

It did stain my clothes and breaks me out under my arms because of the baking soda. I’ve tried both Native and Schmidt’s.

      • Khutchin1361

I also got a terrible rash from this deodorant. It was awful.

        • Heather C

          Same here

      • Nicole

They have sensitive versions of many of their scents, without the baking soda, to address that issue.

    • Kaysha

I’ve been using it for 2-3 years and haven’t had it stain anything that I’ve noticed.

  4. Amy

I have tried many natural deodorants for the past few years. They all eventually stain. The stain looks like an oil stain and can get out if you pretreat it. I tried this brand and it is good, but use Schmidt’s b/c it’s just as good and half the price.

    • Renee

Does Schmidt’s have good scents? I love the vanilla coconut from Native

      • shop4mybabies

the one i love from schmidts is a pineapple something combo and it’s amazing target sells 5 or 6 scents

      • JH

I’ve tried Lavender+Sage and Jasmine Tea from Schmidt’s. I wouldn’t say that either one smells amazing, just good. But neither scent is too strong, and I don’t notice the smell of the deodorant on myself during the day. Both work very well though unlike other natural deodorants that I’ve tried!

  5. auntieb

I found that it stained our shirts. I had a bad reaction to it and had to stop using it but my husband liked it, even with it staining his shirts.

  6. Amber

I’ve got very sensitive skin & my underarms are often irritated. I’ve tried Schmidt’s but it caused a horrible reaction like I’d sunburned my pits. I’ve been really happy with native. No reaction. Smells good. And I’ve not noticed any stain issues

    • Amber

Also thanks for sharing! The one thing I’m not crazy about is the price for native

    • Danielle

I had the same problem with Schmidt’s, like I had used a cheese grater under my arms. I have tried many natural deodorant’s and like native the best. I never feel smelly or like I need to reapply it throughput the day. I think it depends on the individuals body chemistry, kind of like how certain perfumes smell wonder on some and awful on others. Just my two cents.

  7. Jessa

By far the best deodorant I’ve tried..Since using it I haven’t smelled any under arm odor whatsoever. I’ve used this product for over a year and no staining on my clothes. I was skeptical at first, but I got a sample pack on their website to test it first.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for the honest review, Jessa!

  8. Betsy

I used to love this deodorant – I used it 2017 to mid-2018. However, my underarms starting breaking out like craxy about a year ago and I researched and the company was bought by P&G. I don’t think the ingredients are quite as “natural” as they used to be. A lot can hide in that “fragrance” ingredient

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Wow! So glad you told us this, Betsy! It’s a good idea to do the research.

  9. A

Hello.. They also have a sensitive line in this brand that does not have baking soda.. I’ve always gotten mine off of their website.. Love it b/c baking soda and I don’t get along.. Bad reaction. Thanks

  10. Peavey

THANK YOU !! This is a great deal !

    • Cassandra (Hip Sidekick)

      You’re so welcome, Peavey!

  11. Elaine

I tried it and still sweat alot unfortunately.

  12. RachelD

This broke my armpits out and didn’t stop odor for me.

  13. Lori

If the oil from the deodorant stains your shirts, I’ve found that a little dawn dish soap will remove it. 🙂

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

      Thanks, Lori!

  14. Meh

Definitely stains shirts!! I was never sure if the stain was from the deodorant or my sweat? I do think the change in ownership changed the ingredients. I liked the deodorant, but I was having to get rid of too many shirts. I was able to get the stain out (mostly) if I scrubbed with Dawn before laundering. Too much work. Back to deodorants with anti-perspirants.

  15. Michelle

I have used this deodorant for maybe 2 yrs now and love it. No smell but I still sweat. I don’t find any staining as others described.
For me if taking out aluminum is one thing I can do to be preventative I’m all in.

You can also buy these 3 packs on their website for $30 and there are usually 10/20% off codes. I just picked up the seasonal 3 pack for $25. I have 2 backups still but love all the scents.
