We have one of these that we got from a white elephant gift exchange. I would’ve never bought it for myself, but it’s been great. I use it for it’s intended purpose, but it’s perfect for my 3 year old for getting on the potty, and it’s sturdy enough that I can stand on the edge of it to help me reach things on top of the medicine cabinet, and It’s never tipped on me!
I have one (paid full price) and LOVE it! I love it so much I have bought them as gifts for people. (For real) If you are on the fence about it, I say just get it! (tiny step stools, and boxes are just not the same, this product is AMAZING) If you have any sort of “problems” it will help, even if you don’t think you have bathroom problems, it will help. I have UC and have been REALLY sick the last few years, even so, I think it has helped a lot.

Whelp. . . I am totally serious when i ask this – why buy this when you could just prop your feet up on the waste basket or literally anything else in there that’s roughly the same height. Im assuming the height must be what makes this so special. I feel like while $18 isnt a significant amt of money, its quite a hefty price considering its a stool. Couldnt i buy a stool from dollar tree ? Is it an odd shape ? What am i missing ?!

I felt the same way as you at first – in theory, you could put your feet up on something, but how stable would it be? Will it flip over? Is it easy to clean? The Squatty potty is different from a regular stool in that it has a wrap-around shape – because it wraps around the toilet, it makes for much better positioning of the feet. It is stable, and the smooth surface makes it easy to clean. I’m so glad I bought one – it makes going to the bathroom easier and faster.
Pelvic floor physical therapist talking here. The stool is just a stool except it has a cut out to tuck under the toilet for easy storage./stay out of the way. It is set at the best height to adjust for best bowel emptying. This is what I tell my patients.

So I bought it for my husband on the mothers day deal bc well….I could tell he could use it for making bathroom breaks shorter but both me and my son ended up loving it. It seems almost too simple an idea but it is different than a regular stool. Its wider and more ergonomic and there is a slight incline to it too. You notice the difference the first time you use it. Wait for a sale to get it.
We have one and my husband wanted to answer, “It would be difficult to find something that gives you the same mechanical advantage of a squatty potty. The contour of the squatty potty also fits perfectly for easy storage and never gets in the way.” We absolutely love our squatty potty and recently went on a vacation and wished there was a travel one. I just looked on their site and they actually do have a travel one and we plan on buying it!
