Easy to install and great carseat. Very easy to take apart and clean too.
I’m up in the air between this and the Chicco Myfit (cheaper right now at Target vs. Amazon) and can’t decide. I’m usually more of a Chicco lover than Safety First. Any opinions?
If you are going to use it for forward facing, which I assume you are since you are looking at a Myfit, go for the Myfit. Nothing wrong with the safety 1st but forward facing combination seats (Myfit) are a better option if not going to be used rear facing. Also the safety 1st is wide and once in booster mode its hard to buckle for kids. The myfit is a narrow seat and has a higher harness slot so will last longer in harnessed mode as well.

Ok, HOW easy is this to take apart and I mean removing the straps and all to throw them in a washing machine? We have a different car seat right now and I wasn’t able to take it completely apart to wash the straps. It was completely soaked in vomit and I had to do the best I could washing them in place. The next day, it stunk and I had to spend all day running back and forth spraying with febreze. At this point, I want to toss it and buy one I can take apart and actually get clean.
My son got car sick on vacation last year i was able to take the cover off no problem but the straps i had to wash on the seat. Hth
You should never throw the straps into the washing machine and chemicals aren’t allowed on straps or seats either. It sucks to want to sanitize but doing those will weaken the fibers of the material. https://csftl.org/clean-my-car-seat/
