Recycle Your Old Crayons at A.C. Moore & The Crayon Initiative Will Send New Ones to Children’s Hospitals
Have a bunch of old broken crayons at home?
Through July 27th, A.C. Moore is partnering with The Crayon Initiative to recycle all your broken crayons and provide brand new crayons to children’s hospitals all over the country! So awesome!
The Crayon Initiative recycles used, broken and unwanted crayons into new ones, and provides them to children’s hospitals throughout the country. These unique crayon packs are used by child life specialists to spark creativity and imagination for hospitalized children. One pound of unwanted crayons are recycled into 5 new packs!
If you would like to participate in this initiative, simply collect your broken or unwanted crayons and take them to the nearest participating A.C. Moore location no later than July 27th. Easy peasy!
This reminds me of the Crayola Colorcycle program, where schools can collect dried out markers and send them back to Crayola to be recycled, instead of thrown in landfills. I’m the coordinator for my school. Very easy. https://www.crayola.com/colorcycle.aspx
Thanks, chester5!

Awww, KerRI! Great way to pay it forward! Thanks so much for helping your community!
There’s an AC Moore in Warwick, same Peking lot as Christmas tree shops 🙂
What a great idea! I’ve wondered what to do with all of my son’s old crayons. This is perfect and such a good cause. Thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome, Lisa!
What a great idea!!
Perfect! I collected a assay the end of the school year and was in limbo. Do they do this every year?
