To Mary: California Prop. 65 mandates that products made with materials known to be dangerous or cancerous must list that fact if they are sold in California. Sometimes those materials are dangerous only in large quantities, or ingested, but I think it is important to know regardless, so consumers can make an informed decision.
I think it’s also important to note, some manufacturers do not want to pay for testing so they put the warning on all products to cover themselves.
