Boy with sunscreen on his nose

Supergoop! was founded by former teacher, Holly Thaggard, with the goal of showing kids the importance of using SPF every day by putting it in classrooms everywhere.

This sunscreen lotion absorbs easily into skin and doesn’t feel sticky, so kids love it! It’s made with natural extracts of citrus, basil, and bois de rose, so it doesn’t have that typical sunscreen smell.

Many schools won’t put sunscreen on kids as it’s considered a OTC drug

    • Christine

We have to sign a consent form

  2. Dee

I was just going to say the same thing… we re not even allowed to put bandaids on our kids

    • Nicole

I know a teacher that parents tried to sue over this!

      • KR

Over sunscreen or a bandaid? Wow. Just wow.

        • Nicole

          A bandaid!!

  3. Christine

Thanks! I sent this to my son’s 4K teacher, we were just talking about sunscreen last week. I don’t know if she’s be able to use it, but there is an otc form I can sign off on for her to use it on my son.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

      You are so welcome, Christine!

Why should we provide kids info and school info To get start up kit.. what is the original price of it?

    • M

It is for teachers to dispurse. It is not students info. It is teacher’s info and school info to verify that it is going to a teacher.

    • Jen

Welllll…. 9 oz of their kids mineral screen is $70… and this is a 50 oz pump… so over $300? I use the 18 oz pump on my kids in FL daily and it lasts over a month

  5. Jes

Our school always sunscreen, but we have to sign a permission slip for bug spray.

  6. Kathryn

The copy in the link reads “14 states now allow…”

    Don’t know which ones.

  7. redsoxgirl

Oh my! It would take a while to get outside after putting sunscreen on 22 five year olds!

    • Jen

I live in FL and they are supposed to be able to self-apply… personally I think it’s great – I put Super Goop on my daughter in the AM, but her recess is at 2:20 and she’s come home burnt twice

  8. Chrissy

We have to send sunscreen already on our kids to school. The teachers are not allowed to do it.

This stuff is amazing. I just did a 2300 mile vacation on my motorcycle with an open face helmet. I went from the Midwest to Virginia Beach and back with nothing but sunny weather. I used only this for my exposed arms/upper back/neck and Cicapair Tiger Grass for my face and no sunburn issues whatsoever. I applied it every couple of hours, whenever I stopped to fill my motorcycle up with gas…simply awesome.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh wow! Great to hear how well it worked for you on your trip, Jenn! Thanks a ton for sharing your experience!
