Nestle chocolate curlsJust in time for peak baking season, Nestlé is introducing new Chocolate Curls as an easy and delicious way to beautify your baked goods. After all, there’s no simpler way to decorate your frosted cupcakes than by sprinkling something pretty on top! Best of all, these tasty little curls are made from Nestlé’s 100% real chocolate.

These toppings come in three different flavors and colors: milk chocolate, white chocolate, and red and white chocolate. The red and white ones are colored like candy canes and will be perfect for holiday (or Valentine’s Day) baking, but they do not contain any peppermint flavor. Add these curls to your frosted cakes and cupcakes or sprinkle them on top of your hot cocoa for a festive and tasty embellishment!

Nestlé’s Chocolate Curls are already available at stores like Hy-Vee, Publix, Giant Eagle, Meijer, and Schnucks. The chocolate and white chocolate curls are in stores now, but the red and white curls may not be seen until closer to the holiday season. Each 3.8-ounce container is selling for around $4 each.

I hope so hope this doesn’t come off the wrong way but I am missing the old H2S. This isn’t really relevant to saving money 😢

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Wendy! We appreciate your honest feedback about this post. In addition to posting all the best deals, our team is having a lot of fun scouring the internet for all the latest and newest product releases. Although these new products are not often on sale when we first post about them, we do find that many of them have coupons (look for peelie coupons on display next to these new products in the store!) and/or cash back offers that pop up soon after they are released. So we like to call out these new products in advance so that readers like yourself can keep your eyes peeled when out in the store.

      • mel

Thank you Amber and team for highlighting new products! I hope these expand to more stores during the holiday season.

        • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

You’re welcome, Mel! I hope so too! 🤞

      • snpy496

Please don’t stop posting info on new products. I learn about new things through h2s, deal or no deal.

        • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

          👍

    • Kayla

Agree 100%. These posts are fine but where is the hip2save that went out to actual stores using clipped coupons spending $2 on $50 merchandise. Guess that’s what happens when you make money and hire people to do everything on their laptops. All deal sites have the same internet deals and fillers.

      • scamp

Wendy and Kayla….I certainly understand that you want to save money, we all do. I find this site to be informative, fun and helps me save money. You can chose to view this site and not click on any thing that doesn’t suit your needs or wants. I started out looking at this as a money saving site and now I just love the variety. Some of the best recipes I’ve ever made come from this site. I love the new things that I would never see in store or online. Just skip over what you don’t want or need. No one is forcing you to read every post. We live in a graceless world sometimes. Please be part of the cure not part of the disease. Have a lovely day.

        • Kayla

Oh, thanks for telling me what to do. I needed that.

          • scamp

There was no need to tell these lovely ladies how to run their website .I am delighted to have helped you today. Everyone is special even people that are not the kindest. Enjoy your day.

            • Kayla

It’s not how to run their website if that’s what Collin did for years before, you obviously weren’t a follower then. I never said don’t do this, I said it was fine. I just stated a missed what Hip2save was, what made them into this. Which is not a bad thing at all. Sorry I’m not into this whole new world everything has to be positive and no criticism, lay down and take it. That’s just sad.

              • scamp

Sorry you are sad…. find something that brings you joy.

                • Kayla

You really don’t know how to read. Didn’t say that. ☺️

        • Kayla

My thoughts are part of a disease, you make me feel so special.

      • mel

Couponing just isnt’ the same as it was, 10 year ago. And with change, this blog also has to change & adapt. So should you! There is a variety of posts every day, not everything is going to appeal to everyone. I tend to skip over most of the online/Amazon deals, b/c those don’t interest me. I’m not gonna go to each post and reply that this isn’t relevant. Because that post might be relevant to someone else. And judging from the replies, many are appreciative of the ‘heads up’ on this new product.

        • Kayla

Ahhh, more telling me what to do. Yay.

          • mel

No, I’m not telling you what to do. But if you got that from my post, then you really didn’t read it nor comprehend what i stated.

            • Kayla

You said “so should you”. Meaning you’re telling me to adapt with the times. Did you mean to write something else? Those are the exact words you wrote, right?

        • Diane

They have like 5 other sites they could post the extra stuff on…it is “hip-2-save”

    • Wren

I know what you guys are saying, BUT “couponing” just isn’t the same anymore either. Remember when you could get Doublers at Albertsons and get super cheap or free food?? I miss those days! Stores just aren’t paper coupon friendly anymore, I’m finding.

    • M

Agree 100%. Also, other deal sites are actually posting more money saving seals than Hip is. Like a commenter said below, this is more like a variety page now. Whatever works for the team is good I suppose. Been a follower since 2012.

      • Kara

What sites would you suggest? I love just saving money!

        • Wehaf

          slickdeals is good

        • M

Hip2Save has saved me enough money over the years that I won’t post names of competitors sites, but there are better sites now if you really want to save money. Sites with more grocery matchups, double stacking promo codes, clearance finds etc. I really like that Hip2Save has an easy to read matchup format and the deals they actually post are usually legit. You do have to be more careful on Hip2Save because I’ve noticed a good amount of sponsored posts now that aren’t really focused on saving money.

      • MommySpendsLess

I’ve been following for about 10 years and I have noticed a huge shift in the type of content posted recently. It’s not necessarily better or worse in my opinion but definitely a change. I used to check the website dozens of times a day afraid of missing out on the super clearance, accidental typo, double-dipping promotions, trial size item that generates ECBs/$10 money maker type deals. This site feels more like a lifestyle blog now with content similar to Live Better, Better Homes&Gardens, Women’s Day, etc.
I still check in regularly and I do enjoy most of the “off topic” posts but sometimes I miss the adreline rush of the old site.

  2. Em

These are so cool! Thanks for sharing! I would not have known about them otherwise! 🙂

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

You’re very welcome, Em! Glad to help you find a new treat!

      • Gina G.

I can’t wait to try these! And keep on doing what you’re doing, I love all the posts/savings especially during the holidays!

  3. H

Love getting info on new product!

  4. Mary

Oh wow, thanks so much for posting about this new product! My husband and daughter’s birthdays are this week and I will be baking a birthday cake for both of them. I will be looking for this item in Publix to add it to the cake. 🙂

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

How exciting! You’re very welcome, Mary! Happy Birthday to your husband and daughter! I bet they will LOVE their cake!

  5. Donna

I’d love to try these! Thanks for sharing!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

You’re so welcome! I’m excited to try them too!

  6. J.H.509

Thanks hip2save! I will keep an eye out for these. We love baking and this is the perfect embellishment that is still very simple. Keep up the terrific job!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Aww, You’re so welcome! Thanks a bunch for the kind comment! 💕😊

      • J.H.509

My mother always said…”If you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all”. (•‿•)

        • Robin

Or just have your own opinion.

  7. Amy

I think posts like these are becoming more relevant as we transition away from grocery shopping in stores and move toward grocery pickup and delivery.

    • J

I agree Amy. I do most of my shopping online as well & I appreciate fun posts like like this, because I would’ve never known about this new product as well as the stores it’s currently in. Thank you HIP2SAVE I appreciate it ALL, the savings, recipes, new product posts, product recalls, product reviews, & even Hipsters helping Hipsters with even more ways to save money.

  8. Amanda

I love these, we use something similar to this at the bakery I work at so I’m excited that there will now be an option to purchase this for in home use.

  9. Winnie

I shred a chocolate block and get the same curl with less money. But the red and white thing is fun.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

I have done that before, too! Thanks for the helpful tip, Winnie!

  10. scamp

These look great! I totally love the posts about new products. I am a store shopper ( trying to keep my local stores thriving) and sometimes I miss new things. Hip2Save you keep doing what you are doing. You can’t be all things to all people. Love everything that you all throw our way!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Aww, Thanks a TON for the sweet comment, Scamp! 🥰 It sure means a lot!

    • KKStanley

Thank you so much for making my day!😁You couldn’t have said it better….I too love to get a good deal and save money. I look forward to my Hip2Save emails everyday. Many times it’s just to get a yummy recipe, a creative inexpensive craft idea, or hear about a new product. It’s a double bonus if I happen to see a deal on something that I’ve been wanting or maybe a great gift idea. Many times I just enjoy looking at all the cool stuff they post. In my opinion Hip2Save is fun, exciting, current and best of all, saves me ALOT of time and money!! I agree with you….keep throwing all your cool stuff my way!
      Keep smiling😬

  11. annie

thanks for posting, as I would have never known about this,. I always appreciate you sharing new items, which I have purchased in the past., if not for you giving me a heads up.
I’ve been following hip2save since it’s inception, thank you. you have saved me lot’s and lot’s of money. over the last 10+ years. it’s been fun and look forward to the next 10 years.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You are SO very welcome, Annie! Thank YOU for the kind words and for being a long time reader! 💕

      • KKStanley

        Hi Collin,
I just want to personally thank you and your entire team for everything you do to provide us with awesome information, yummy recipes, creative inexpensive craft ideas and most of all….for saving me a ton of money! You all do an amazing job at finding a great variety of products and making it so easy to navigate your website to access those deals. I can’t tell you how many things I have purchased since I found your website…I tell everyone about you! In my opinion, you’re ONE-OF-A-KIND!!
Keep up the good work….You guys ROCK👏👏👏👏

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Aww, You are SO very welcome! Thanks a TON for the super sweet comment! That sure brightened my day. 🥰❤️

  12. Wren

I’m glad to hear about these, thank you 🍫.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      You’re most welcome!

  13. RB

LET THEM RUN THEIR SITE HOWEVER THEY WANT. You all are awesome. Please don’t let people bully you in to something that they want. I have loved this site for years. Keep up the good work. People are so rude. I agree with Scamp.

    • Tori

I have to disagree with a lot of the sentiment being posted here. Mind you I do love the site, and I do agree that they have the right to run it however they wish, HOWEVER that said – change NEVER happens by keeping silent and how are they supposed to know if something is working or not if no one speaks up? ( the old customer service rule of for every one that speaks up, 20 agree but remain silent) Just because YOU don’t agree doesn’t mean their point isn’t valid. Everyone can express their opinion in a RESPECTFUL manner, even their disagreement- that’s called a discussion.

    • Sue

Your crazy and not looking at the big picture. If they don’t get feedback they won’t know what people are looking for. It’s nice that people can express in the comment section what they need and such here. Often on facebook they ask what deals people are looking for. It’s incredible that people like you can’t just scroll by and have to interject when others are just trying to help make this become the most beneficial savings group around. I guess if I express that I miss Collin’s Target videos you’ll tell me to stuff it. I just want to help create a wonderful site for all. Have a truly wonderful day!

      • Olivia

        YES!! 👏🏼 Love this comment.

    • Allison

I can’t believe the amount of people who think others can’t have their own voice. Appalling.

    • KKStanley

Exactly!! Who has time to complain and be miserable? Not me😬

      • Ash

If someone has an opinion that you don’t agree with then they’re miserable?? Ridiculous.

Voicing an opinion is not the same as complaining.

        • KristiK

I don’t have an issue with anyone voicing their opinion…That’s what makes the world go round. It’s how you go about it. Being snarky isn’t productive, nor is it vey nice. There is a right way to voice your opinion, yet be diplomatic and pleasant. It starts to sound sound like complaining when the tone changes.

          • Ash

The only “snarky” comments I’ve seen are from people that are angry at others for saying they miss the old Hip2Save.

  14. Lisa E

If someone uses these to bake a cake or anything else, would you post a picture?
Thank you Hip2Save for all the variety of post.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      You’re so welcome, Lisa E!

  15. Allison

Thank you for posting! These look yummy and fun! My first thought was ohhh, these would be great on top of whipped cream on my coffee! Thanks for all you guys do! I love finding out about great new products and saving on stuff too! You guys are seriously the best!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Ooh! Thanks for the suggestion and the kind comment, Allison! I love that idea! 💖🙌

  16. Tori

I will admit that I also clicked on this one expecting to see a deal on a new product not just an announcement. I think you have us too well conditioned to your previous format that change is hard to accept or discern. Everyone is afraid of missing out on one of your great deal postings such that they click on everything that seems remotely interesting. I know I have had times when I went back and said “dang it I should have check H2S earlier – missed another one!”

    • Tori

One suggestion perhaps – I do find those colored banners helpful ( the shopping cart with “Stock Up” for example. Perhaps the use of that to distinguish between just a new product announcement versus a new product with a save opportunity? Just a thought.

      • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks a bunch for your feedback and suggestion, Tori! I’ll be sure to pass this on the team!

        • Tori

No prob. I too have been on this site for about a decade. 10 years of savings. You guys are my secret weapon when my family says “how did you get it so cheap?!”

          • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

            💖

    • mel

If there was a deal, it would say in the title something like Only $2 after coupon or rebate.

      • Tori

        They don’t always.

  17. Dana Glitch

Thank you for posting. I make fancy hot chocolate in the winter and always curl my own chocolate with whatever leftover chocolate we have but I this would be so much easier and quicker. Also it would look so cute in little glass jars on my coffee/hot chocolate bar.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

You’re welcome! That is a cute idea for sure! Thanks for taking the time to comment!

  18. tipaye

Thanks, I absolutely love these new product posts! I would never have known there are now pickle popsicles if it wasn’t for H2S. Posts like new unicorn-themed items are fun, as well! ❤️

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

I enjoy the unicorn items too! You’re welcome, Tipaye! Thanks for the kind words! 💕

  19. je

Am I the only one that thinks the curls will break and there will be a bunch of broken pieces at the bottom of the jar? I’m imagining a jar full of broken chocolate curls, much like a bag of chips with a bunch of crumbs.

  20. Deb

It wouldn’t stop me from buying, just like I continue to buy potato chips, and I know there will be small pieces at the bottom. LOL

  21. Gina G.

I love all the links to coupons & specials! Some people find it hard to accept change but change is inevitable. Not H2S related but I really wish that all coupons would go digital.

  22. Debbie Dinardo

    Amen…let’s move on!

    • Ann

Don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings!!

  23. Rn

and here I was thinking why so many comments on a post about curls and I clicked and found out why…smh
So many negative Nancy’s…I enjoy the site and whatever they post is A oK…if u don’t like it start your own.

    • KristiK

      AMEN SISTER!!
