Disney+ Streaming Service Launches November 12th | Includes New Lady & The Tramp Movie
Oh Disney, you’ve stolen our hearts!
Starting November 12th, Disney will be offering a new streaming service called Disney+ and it’s only $6.99 per month OR $69.99 per year (that’s just $5.83 per month). Note that while pricing has been released you are not able to subscribe until November 12th.
Even better, the launch of this new streaming service will include brand new movies and TV shows exclusively available on Disney+! In fact, Disney recently announced that subscribers will be able to watch a live action remake of Lady & The Tramp, High School Musical the Series show, Noelle (a new Christmas movie) and more! Plus, if you have Marvel or Star Wars fans at home, there will be new shows released for those franchises as well!
And if that wasn’t enough, you’ll be able to access Disney’s extensive library of movies and shows with new and exclusive content being added all the time. You’ll be able to stream when connected to WiFi or if you’re heading out of the house, you can download your favorite movies and shows to watch from anywhere!
If you’re looking to add the Disney+ subscription to a bundle, you can score ESPN+, Disney+ and Hulu for $12.99 per month! This beats Netflix pricing by $3 and includes THREE services! This puts the pressure on Netflix and various other streaming services to offer more competitive pricing, which is great if you’re cutting cable!
So excited!
I can’t wait!!!! They are also rebooting Lizzie Mcguire which will be on there.
Yes!! Just read the description of the new show and I can’t wait to see it!
Tip: Use your Target RedCard for a Disney Giftcard and save 5%, use gift card to pay for subscription. So it would be $66.49 for the year!
Think they stopped the 5% on gift cards there quite awhile back
You can’t get 5% off Target gift cards, but I’m pretty sure you still get 5% off other gift cards.
I just bought a Disney gift card with my Target Red card and got 5% off
I got some last week for 5% off. What they stopped was using Target gift cards to buy Disney Gift Cards
I’ve been able to get the Disney gift card at Target.com with my Red Card 5% off. My local store won’t honor the discount on Gift cards.
That’s a great idea if they will allow you to pay with a gift card
I’ve had the page saved for several months now. So excited for this. My little ones are going to love it. Can’t wait for the Monsters Inc series as I am sure my son will love it.
I wish they offered a bundle with the Hulu with no commercials…
Me too!
I can’t wait to see Lady and the Tramp! I was hoping to see it in the theater though.
Won’t offer it on Amazon fire stick.
Has anyone read how the streaming will work? We use Chromecast, Firestick & the XBox. Our Roku needs to be replaced if we need to use that.
I see some fine print that says, “Disney+ delivers your favorite entertainment to smart TVs, phones, laptops, tablets, and gaming consoles.” Yay! I’m guessing there will be an app on those devices!
What?
Sams Club has $50 Disney gift cards for $47.
Nice find! Thanks for the heads up!
How would I go about getting Disney+ if I’m already a Hulu subscriber?.? Would I need to cancel Hulu then subscribe as a new member with Disney+ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
We don’t know all those details, yet. BUT, I personally can’t wait to sign up!
My guess is there will be an add on price like other add ons. My best guess is 6.99 based off current costs of Hulu
Yayyy!!! Can’t wait! I’m dropping Netflix for sure.
Has anyone seen anything about how many devices can be on at once using Disney+?
I’m actually not seeing anything on that at all, katie!
It will allow 4 simultaneous streams in 4K with up to 7 profiles on one account.
Sign up directly with Disney if you are a Charter customer. Disney partnered with Charter to allow you to sign up with a Charter login. This partnership will allow them to crack down on password sharing. They haven’t announced how exactly they would do that.
Sold! Where do I send my money?
Just take my money Disney! 😂
LOL!
I still won’t cancel Netflix. Disney+ won’t have Power Rangers, Beetleborgs, VR Troopers, or NCIS. I also won’t sign up for the bundle. I have absolutely zero interest in ESPN. I also will never go back to 13 ads on each 20 – 22 minute episode. Disney has no plans of offering a bundle with the no ads version because they want the ad revenue. If they offered it and assuming the additional $6 for no ads, the bundle would cost more than paying for Hulu and Disney+ separately.
The price is more affordable than I expected- I will definitely be giving it a try!
Awesome! Hope you love it!
I’ll be paying for a year up front. Don’t need the ESPN or Hulu, so it’s a great deal. I will always have Netflix, though!
Def a good deal, for the price of 3 Disney DVD, a full year of new shows, movies, Disney catalog? Yay!
I’m wondering if this will work on the firestick?
