It’s pretty small. An 8 year old might not mind, but something to keep in mind!
This is not a gaming laptop. Unfortunately, those are expensive even on sale. Go for gaming laptops you need to look at the IP or internal processor. If your grandson is wanting to play things like fortnite or minecraft he will need a minimum of iP5. Those run at the cheapest 800$. I hav been researching for the last 2 years for my 11 year old.
is this good for watchimg movies? if i download about 6 do u think it would be good? thinking for plane or car rides

Just scored one for pickup!… I had an Acer before – I loved it!!! Unfortunately the ex-husband poured water on it.. I’ll get an SD card and eventually mouse and keyboard for when my kids need to use it. But this is an excellent brand and I’m excited to get another one, smaller – so more portable! Would this be a good/fast enough computer for college?
If they are using it for mainly consumption purposes (watching videos, social media), I would say so, Kacie. It would also be sufficient for writing papers.
