Best lunch boxes! The new design with the zipper is perfect- has the clip to link into their bookbag!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for mentioning the clip for their bookbag, Dane5679!

  2. Miranda

My daughter uses the Classic style – we both love it!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Great to hear! Thanks for letting us know, Miranda!

  3. Mama

Does anyone know if the bento boxes will fit?

    • L

We use the the sistema lunch blox, and that fits in the one with the flap along with a water bottle.

    • Miranda

The classic fits the Bentgo and a juice box.

  4. Jenn

I LOVE these lunch boxes!! They truly keep food cold until lunch time and they are nice and roomy! Sometimes you can find them places like Home Goods or TjMaxx.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks! We’ll keep our eyes on the lookout for those, Jenn!

  5. Elizabeth

These are my favorite lunch bags! I love not having to mess with ice packs! They are expensive so I was waiting for a sale. Thank you for posting!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

You are so welcome! I love that they are your favorite, Elizabeth!

  6. Heather

Check your local Walmart ~ I found a bunch of them in the back to school clearance section yesterday. Grabbed 3 of them for $9 each.

Best lunch boxes ever!!! They hold up extremely well, too. My daughter has been using the same one for the past 5 years. YIKES!!!

    • Cassandra (Hip Sidekick)

Wow! Great find, Heather! We’ll be sure to check for those.

    • Rae

Our walmart didn’t have ANY kids lunch boxes during back to school season. I think because they don’t sell. The public schools here give free breakfast, and lunch to all students regardless of income. I ended up ordering online since my child goes to private school and needed a lunch box. I would have bought one of these in store if they had them.

      • Cristine

Wow, that’s nice. Lunches here are $2.80 at our elementary school.

  7. Karyn

I just purchased one at Target yesterday on clearance for $11. They were located both in the back to school area and on the end cap of the sporting goods.

    • Cassandra (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for the heads up, Karyn! We’ll be on the lookout for those at Target!

  8. Shelly

Which style and size is good for a bento type box like the yumbox or lunch bots that will also fit a thermos type water bottle? Thanks!

    • Cassandra (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Shelly! I think either the bag or box would work unless you had one of the larger lunch bots, like the cinco. And in that case, the thermos could go in the netted side pocket on the side of the lunch box. If your kiddo has a FUNtainer thermos, that should fit and they keep drinks cold all day. So no need to carry inside the lunchbox. Hope that helps!

  9. Lolie

These are the best lunch boxes! It keeps things cold. I highly recommend!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for the recommendation, Lolie!

  10. Heather

We love these! Great for school, picnics, etc. And it’s well worth the price because they are super well made and last a long time. They clean up well too!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Yay! That’s great to hear, Heather!

  11. Curlylocks02

These are the best. Our entire family uses these. All of our lunches have perishable items and I send milk in a thermos for my kids because of Treenut and peanut allergies ( no PB and J). They keep food and milk cold for at least 8 hours.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Wow! Eight hours is a long time! Thanks, Curlylocks02!

I have the PackIt Freezable Carryall Lunch Bag in Ziggy. It is $19.99 on Amazon and temporarily out of stock. I bought it at Bed Bath and Beyond using a $5 off $15 coupon in late 2015 or January 2016, so i got it for $14.99. I have used it several times when traveling. I tested it with a can of Diet Dr. Pepper. It froze the can.

Unless they are made differently now, don’t try to use it as a cooler and put ice in it. I tried that on a cruise when there wasn’t a refrigerator in the cabin. When the ice melted, it leaked out of the bag and all over the desk. It completely soaked the bath towel I put under it. The towel was dripping wet.
