My ex brother-in-laws , brother in law was recently diagnosed with stage 4 colon/rectal cancer with Mets to his liver. He is in his early forties and they have a 4 yo son (after trying for 20 years). It’s heart breaking. They had to set up a go-fund me etc, and have been having a horrible time financially , their insurance even refused to cover a PET SCAN. It is really been horrible. Anyhow, a few of my family members and I were considering getting them a grub hub gift card(with them both still trying to work( he is a teacher, and she also works at the school) his weekly chemo, upcoming surgery etc. We are in NY and they are in Texas, so we don’t have the ability to do like a meal train. Advice would be appreciated how this works, if it would be a good idea given the situation etc. would this Hip2save offer work on a gift card? Sorry I am so clueless, we live in a very rural area, so we don’t have anything like this here.
