This has been posted in the past and this deal does not work. Target views their gift card back as a coupon. So it will not take the 2 coupons. You can use 2 coupons and not get the gift card. Or you can use one coupon and get the gift card. Save yourself the time and effort and don’t try this deal.
I’ve done this deal multiple times in the past without any problems using 2 coupons & I still received the gift card. 🤷🏻♀️

I was at target today with the 2 coupons. Customer service had to manually push coupons through because register kept beeping when scanned. It worked for me with gc but I suppose it depends on manger on site

They didn’t scan for me which seems to be a common complaint. Luckily, the cashier didn’t even question me. He just pushed some buttons and off I went.

Went to Target today with two coupons and was told by the head cashier I either had to use the coupons and not get the $5. Target gift card, or not use the coupons and get the $5 Target card but I could not use both. I used the coupons and called Target customer service and they will send me a $5. Target ecard. May too much hassle!!
