Wow, we went to see how maple syrup is made..n just to get 1 drop from the tree is so painstaking, always wonder how they sell this liquid gold for so cheap..
It’s such an interesting thing to watch, isn’t it, Nita? We have a few maple syrup makers around here and I agree with you – so much work for just a little product!
Costco also sells maple syrup for around this price that is good!
Thanks, Klp!
$10.28 at Sam’s and it is organic.
Awesome, Lana, thanks for sharing!
There is really not any difference between real maple syrup that is labeled as organic and ones that are not.
Organic means that the farmers do not spray within a certain distance of these trees and that these trees are not treated with chemicals.
Wow, thanks for the info.
Plz be aware. We are producers of maple syrup. Most mass retailers sell maple syrup as “real” when it is not. If the ingredients state anything other than sap, it is NOT real. Sap is the only ingredient in real maple syrup. You literally tap the tree and wait for the sap to run. 40 gallons of sap produces 1 gallon of syrup! That my friends is REAL maple syrup!
We make our own. We use silver maples, we have lucked out and don’t need 40 gallons of sap, maybe 30. We decided to line our driveway with sugar maples but we can’t tap them for 20 years! It’s rough knowing we have to wait so long.
The seller of the maple syrup states clearly there is just 1 ingredient in their syrup with no added artificial color or preservatives. For someone on a budget this is a great deal. TX hip2save!
Which flavor should I get?
Wow Sue, how interesting!
