Coffee Frosty, Anyone? Wendy’s Breakfast Menu Coming Nationwide in 2020
A Frosty for breakfast, anyone!?
If a Baconator and Frosty sound like the perfect breakfast combo to you, Wendy’s breakfast menu may turn you into a morning person! After testing its breakfast menu in approximately 300 locations, Wendy’s is now planning to launch a full breakfast menu nationwide in 2020. Wendy’s is one of the last major fast-food restaurants to enter the nationwide breakfast market.
The chain’s breakfast menu will feature signature items you may recognize from Wendy’s current menu, re-imagined for breakfast. Some highlights from Wendy’s breakfast menu include:
- Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit: Crispy chicken topped with maple honey butter on a buttermilk biscuit.
- Breakfast Baconator: Grilled sausage, American cheese, Applewood smoked bacon, and eggs covered in swiss cheese sauce and served on a bun.
- Frosty-ccino: Cold-brewed coffee swirled with either Wendy’s chocolate or vanilla Frosty mix and served over ice.
Rolling out a nationwide breakfast menu has proven to be challenging for Wendy’s so far. While they made a major push to add breakfast in 1,000 test markets back in 2010, that effort ultimately fizzled. This time around, company executives are more optimistic that breakfast at Wendy’s will be here to stay.
“Launching breakfast in our U.S. restaurants nationwide provides incredible growth opportunities,” said Todd Penegor, President and CEO of Wendy’s, in a press release. “We are well-positioned to pursue it. We believe we have the right team and structure in place, and we put Wendy’s fan favorites on our breakfast menu to set us apart from the competition.”
To make its nationwide breakfast menu possible, Wendy’s will need to hire approximately 20,000 new employees across the country. Anyone interested in applying can visit careers.wendys.com or their local Wendy’s.

I enjoyed Wendy’s breakfast when they had it before. Glad to see they are bringing it back! Hopefully this will help keep more Wendy’s open. They closed one of the newer ones that is near my home and work.

I loved the artisan egg sandwhich they use to have.!!! Also the breakfast potatoes were unique and tasty. Excited its making a comeback. Hope they bring some of the old items back!! 🙂
I was in a pinch one day and tried their breakfast sandwich. The bacon was very crispy and the food tasted great. I thought all Wendy’s served breakfast, but it was only that location. Although, i rarely eat fast food, but if i am in a pinch i wont regret getting their food.
