Oh no! That’s too bad, I wonder if it has to do with the baker? We loved ours and went back for seconds. The donuts were moist, not too sweet and the apple cider flavor came thru nicely.
Wow, it must have something to do with the bakery. We got some here in North Texas and they weren’t filmy at all. I totally agree with your take, Quintress! Moist, not too dense though they were a cake donut, and the apple cider flavoring was yum!

I love everything aldi, but these donuts leave a greasy film in your month. So wanted to like them.
My kids did not like them and would not eat the rest that were left.
Yep, I usually love cake donuts, but these were surprisingly not very good. They were only palatable when I dunked them in my coffee, but definitely not worth buying again.
I saw that no one had made a comment so I left it alone… went back when I saw this post had nine comments. I wanted to see what people had to say. I agree, tasteless, not very good. ( I bought these last year and tried them) I wouldn’t buy these again
at room temp they aren’t good. but 15 seconds in the microwave omg! it almost like it activates a fat and moisture component that you don’t taste at first.
