These planes are very old. Seats are uncomfortable. My husband took a flight and it had a 13 hour layover. Another had a 3 hour layover drove out onto the tarmac for an hour and a half then back to the gate. It was deboarded due to multiple mechanical issues. The flight was very inexpensive but he made up for the cost difference in meals and cost of an alternate ticket on another airline in order to get home in a more timely manner. Beware!
Bummer Andera! Thanks for sharing your honest feedback!
I have flown with frontier four different times with a delay once. I think it was only an hour or two. No free carry on and pretty tight seating but totally worth the value of getting across country!
Thanks for sharing your experience, Cyndi!
We flew recently and had a 6 hour delay and they wouldn’t confirm that they would really take off when they said. We missed a half day of our vacation. We were so upset.
Thanks! I was able to snag cheap direct round fare tickets for our upcoming trip to Disney.
That’s great to hear, Jenn! I hope you have a blast at Disney!
Took advantage of this sale at the beginning of the year. When to Disney world with my mom and dad and daughter. We had a blast and got all of us there for $400 total round trip. AND they changed our departure time the day before we left SO they credited me $400 sooo I still have another $400 to fly somewhere else. Just remember to take your own snacks because you have to buy everything except drinks. They weren’t very strict on the baggage. Each of my family members and I took a backpack and a big beach style bag full of stuff. We only check in one luggage between the 4 of us. And coming home we had soooo many shopping bags and they let us walk right on with them.
They were very strict on our flight.
I think this airline charges for each bag you check
AMAZING just got back from Denver.. can’t wait to fly with them again. Here’s what to expect:
1). $10 each way each person for assigned seats and to insure u set together
2). Only one personal item free, 14×8. I took roll on computer case (purse inside) They do check to verify as you board. $appx. $30 each way to carry a bag on $60 if catch you at the gate.
3). Teenie tiny tray tables (less weight less fuel burn better for planet)
4). On board drink specials I think we got 4 Tito’s, 2 club sodas & 2 snacks for $29.99. It’s $7 each for a soda.
5). Seats do not recline unless pay extra. Light padding so wear a jacket or sweater to use to slide under u.
6). No internet so download ur movies or bring a book.
7), if u join their club $59 cheaper flights available and a child 15 & under can fly free with u on certain days.
8). Their equipment was fine, clean and comparable to America Airlines md/80
Kick back & relax…, What a steal… we paid $97 round trip for 2 with seat selection.
THANK u for posting
Oh great! Thanks a TON for taking a moment to share your experience! We sure appreciate it!
Just got back from Orlando. Was able to get 5 direct round trip tickets for under $200 – including tax! I eventually added seat selections since I was traveling with 3 children – $5/ $6 more each way. Non-frills, but will definitely travel with Frontier again for quick flights.
