Looking for a way to earn some extra cash this Christmas? 💰

Williams-Sonoma is hiring about 2,500 Seasonal Customer Service Agents to fill remote positions this holiday season. The kitchenware company has already begun hiring for the holidays and will continue to do so during the month of November or until they have all of the positions filled.

Job descriptions for the available positions vary, but some responsibilities include taking calls to assist customers with placing orders, facilitating returns, locating products, and scheduling deliveries. To be considered for one of these work-at-home positions, candidates must have a computer with high-speed internet, a camera for “live virtual interaction,” and a headset for hands-free conversations with customers.

New hires must first undergo three weeks of paid training, which can also be done remotely from home. After that, hours can range anywhere from 30 to 50 hours per week at the rate of $12 per hour. Most seasonal employees will work five days a week for 40 hours, including one weekend day. Benefits include the opportunity to earn overtime pay and a 40% store discount!

To learn more about these positions or to apply, you can view the job listings here. While most of the Seasonal Customer Service Agent jobs are indeed work-from-home positions, you’ll notice that many of them require you to live in a specific state or within a certain distance of a major city. Scroll through the listings to see if there’s a job opening in your area!

I wish they had part time! This would have been great to work along side my full time job for the holidays!

    • PrincessMom

Same here! I’d love something part time for a couple of months.

      • iamkris10

ditto. 30 hours would probably be too much.

If you work for WS Inc. the employee discount is 40% off and sometimes even on sale items! I would say if you love WS Inc. brands ( PB, West Elm, etc.) it is worth it! I use to work for the company and definitely enjoyed that benefit.. ALOT!

      • Kellie

Wow, I didn’t know the discount worked with all the WS brands! Thanks.
My 20 yo son just started working there last month so I’ll have to see if his discount works that way.
He wants to be a chef so this is a great way for him to afford to buy the expensive knives he wants at a discount.

These positions listed do not look remote.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Mellie! I still find that the Customer Service Agent Positions are listed as “work from home”, as I click through to their details. Hoping that helps!

    • Jennine

I’m not confirming that info as well. Clicking the link posted The positions say must live in (this) state. They say the 3 week Training is remote. But I’m not seeing where is says work from home remotely. I don’t think I have the critical thinking skills to solve this 😆 it’s a sign this isn’t the job for me 😂

      • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for commenting! You’re right. It is a bit confusion. It seems you would pick the Customer Service position, that is available in your state. For that position, you would work from home in that state. Hope that helps!

when i clicked texas, it said I had to live within 25 miles of dallas so it’s not really gonna work for anyone outside of DFW. 🙁

          • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Darn! Thanks for the feedback, Crystal.

        • Jennine

Thanks for responding! Yes, all that is correct except… I’m still not finding where it says work from home or remotely. If we’re talking critical thinking skill It does state a headset and computer are required so there’s that😄 I’m talking hyper ADHD details it does not state that in these links. Its completely possible I missed something! This is a great opportunity for some reader!! thanks again for responding 🙂

          • Jennine

I found it!!!!!!!! Praise the lord ya’ll! If I could circle it and post a pic. I would! 😍 goodnight 🙌🏼

            • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

              Yay! Thanks for the update!

How neat! Thanks for sharing that with us!

  4. Rose

Does anyone know of any other work at home opportunities?

  5. Star

Customer service do video chats with customers? That requirement sounds shady.

    • Cheryl S

It’s probably not for customers but for chatting face-to-face with company managers.

  6. kelli gol

Does anyone with experience know if these are daytime positions or if they hire evening/weekends as well? Hate to go through the application process if it’s not a possibility. Thanks for always keeping us up to date on great ideas!!

I work for Nordstrom through liveops I average $15 an hr. I used to work for Alorica which was $9.25 plus a little commission. I am trying to get hired with Sedgwick because they pay $15 with tons of benfits.

    • Cc

Could you tell me more about that ? Do you work Nordstrom remotely?

  8. MaryAnne

I love Williams-Sonoma. I would do it for the 40% discount. I need one of those amazing round cast iron skillets, selling for over $300. A promo code would be better. I would be an amazing rep, just too much going on in my life with my mom now.

  9. Sam I Am

My friend applied for this job, had a lot of retail and stock experience and they sent him a “text” saying thanks for your interest but we do not feel your qualified for a position at Williams Sonoma. He’s been in retail for 6yrs and doing stock for 4, how is he not qualified ? smh🤔. Guess you need to be stupid and wear flip flops to an interview to get hired.

  10. gatorgirl772

I applied, and had an interview already….we shall see!!

  11. Crystal

Thank you posting this, I GOT THE JOB!! I just lost my full time job a week ago. Thank you again!

  12. Joanna

Did any of you that heard back choose temp:seasonal/summer, as preferred position? I’m just curious to know if I need to reapply as full time. Getting ready for maternity leave in the next two weeks and would love to still have income coming in.
