Good deal! I bought mine for $70 a few years ago. I use it a few days a week mostly for boiled eggs and chicken. I like that I can close the lid, let it cook and go do other things knowing that when it’s done it’ll keep the food warm.

I have (3) 8 qts!!! Use them all the time. Fantastic!

Luv my instant pot. Frozen chuck roast in 55 minutes. Perfect corn on cob. Two things to consider on the 8 qt, it takes longer to get to cooking time, and I’m 5’4” and it’s tall on the countertop, so sometimes I feel like I need a step stool to see down into the bottom of it! (I don’t use the sauté function for this reason!)

I’ve wondered if this is practical for a family that has 7-9 people eating and one is gluten free.

We are a family of 9 and 2 are glulen free. I use this all the time!! I cooked a 10 lb pork butt in the instant pot last week and we all ate on in for several days. It was very good and tender. (I cooked it for about 3 hours.) A second insert is very helpful. After the meat is done, I take it out and put the second one in with lots of veggies and cook it for 5 minutes. Very easy and enough to feed a bunch.
