I used to think that, too, but these bracelets are waxed, adjustable, and last longer than regular embroidery floss friendship bracelets.

I thought the same thing, but for $3 ea, it saves me the hassle of shopping for the items and being frustrated trying to make them.
I doubt the homemade ones would turn out as durable or attractive. Just my opinion, though.

Last year we bought a few bracelets from Pure Vida. It was a nightmare. They were VERY late in shipping (like almost 4 weeks – not delivered in time for Christmas) and the order was incomplete. Some were sold out and some I was charged for and didn’t get. It took awhile to get it all straightened out.
The ones we DID finally get were nice and of decent quality. Just know that you can’t count on them for gifts.

I had the same experience as SMH last year. The shipping took several weeks and I was charged for bracelets I never received. I hope they learned from last year and your experiences are better than ours. I personally will not be ordering from them this holiday season.
