This coffee maker features a 40oz glass carafe that can be brewed in six minutes and an automatic drip-stop brew-basket that stops the flow of coffee if the carafe is pulled away. It also has a unique hot plate that is engineered with a separate, independent element that rolls heat into the coffee to ensure an even taste from the first cup to the last drop. Plus, the hot plate has two settings, giving you the choice to hold your coffee at 175° or 185°!
We have had one of these for 12 years! It’s a high price but great coffee and last forever!

If you’re going to invest in a Technivorm, I recommend getting the one with the insulated metal carafe (not the glass one). It keeps the coffee hot without putting a heating element under the coffee (which destroys the flavor). I love my Technivorm (and literally gave away the last Keurig I owned because they make such weak, plastic-infused swill compared to this device).
Love ours and we find that their technology allows this to keep the temperature & flavor perfect. I am a stickler about the temp and this system works. However, you cannot keep it running with a tiny amount in the pot. It will automatically shut off, though, so it would not stay hot if unattended forever. It doesn’t have a programmer but I do have a friend who bought one and added that and he loves it. I just get the thing ready the night before and hit the button when I’m ready in the a.m.
