I am afraid I may have been scammed for almost $25 worth of gift cards by a regular posting Hipster. I sent my side of the trade almost 12 hours ago and the gift card I sent had been redeemed by them even before they sent their trade. Then when the Hipster finally sent their GC in the e-mail it stated if the Amazon code does not work then call the help desk. WHAT?! So I tried to enter the code and of course it said “invalid”. Several hours later after several times sending the Hipster an e-mail they finally responded saying they sent their portion of the trade and that they called Amazon to see what the issue was since they bought it from a 3rd party. That was the entire e-mail. No explanation on what Amazon said or how they are going to send me my trade. Not even an apology for the invalid code or taking several hours to respond each time. I sent my trade in good faith to a known Hipster and I believe I got burned. I honestly think after 12 hours, no apology, no explanation, no trying to send me an alternate Amazon code, and knowing from the start they were sending me a possible faulty code AND already using my code this is a scam. I let the Hipster know that I traded because I have some lightening deals that MUST be purchased today to get the deal. I offered for them to send me PayPal or another Amazon GC to complete the trade and they can work out their issue with Amazon on their own time. I mean who trades a GC without evening knowing if is valid? Isn’t that something you check first out of courtesy and honesty? I did let the Hipster know if I do not hear from them in the next 30 minutes I would post their name and 2 e-mail addresses here because at this point it is extremely excessive and fishy. I will continue to post their information for several days as well to make sure everyone has a chance to see the name and e-mail address and I will keep an eye out for any future posts from the Hipster to warn people of my experience. I mean who scams someone during the Holidays when money is the most tight and it was not just a coupon or $2/$5 GC, it was almost $25 worth!!!! Extremely sad and disappointed….

Thank you! I hope so too! I have not heard from them in hours. They are not returning my e-mails. I did send them one more e-mail extending the response time for another hour since I do have to order those lightening deals today (which would make it almost 14 hours from my initial trade). I doubt they will respond but I am giving them the benefit of the doubt especially during the holidays because I truly hate posting negative experiences for all to see especially from a regular Hipster.
Still have not heard back from Laken B after 14 hours and no successful trade however my Target GC that I traded was already redeemed but no valid Amazon GC was sent to me – Please be cautious when trading with these 2 e-mail addresses: malacaav@gmail.com & pinkrazrbrd3 at gmail dot com – It hurts my heart to know I lost money I could have used for the Holiday season with no apology and offer to rectify the situation
