  Technically you pay the $299 price upfront and you get the free $30 ecard later after you complete the order, so that you can put toward another purchase.

   This is not accurate because you still pay taxes. It is not $269 shipped. And you are forced to spend the gift card at Best Buy.

   It’s Nintendo that tells stores like Best Buy and Amazon run the promo. Amazon had a similar deal on the lite switch. Then you’re forced to get that Amazon credit and spend it. Not that many promos on consoles like this. Nintendo got you.
