They are basically pushing the Vertuo machines out to the lowest sale prices bc the pods are so expensive and not many want to buy them! Knowing that the Vertuo pods aren’t available in your local grocery store and how they’re incompatible with their original line of pods should steer anyone away!
Thanks for this info
I have to disagree. I think it depends on what kind of coffee people prefer. I absolutely love this machine and the coffee. The price point is definitely higher than a Keurig or ground coffee. If you drink multiple cups a day it would definitely become costly but I only drink one cup a day so for me it’s worth it. I don’t mind ordering it online as it usually ships to home within 2 days. I also love that you can send the capsules back to them to be recycled vs. trashing them as with traditional single serve machines. It’s all about your preferences in coffee 🙂
They also have the recycling program for the original line, the coffee tastes great in that one as well and pay about .29¢ or less per cup.
Maybe the machines are discounted so that people will be more likely to purchase them because the pods cost more than the original. I love my Vertuo and appreciate that I can have quality lattes in under two minutes. I purchase the pods when they are on sale and so a cup for me is less than $1.
I can make lattes in the original one as well… but we pay about .29¢ or less per cup.
