    Amazon Subscribe & Save

With Subscribe & Save, you'll score free standard shipping on auto-deliveries (non-Prime customers may incur shipping costs for the first delivery).

You can also cancel your subscriptions easily in your Amazon account without being penalized. That means if you’re just wanting to snag a deal for the low price but don’t want the subscription, you can cancel it right after you receive your order.

Also, you can unlock extra savings on select subscriptions by clipping coupons, and you can save an extra 15% instead of the regular 5% off all items in your subscription whenever you add 5 or more eligible items to your monthly subscriptions.

NOTE - In advance of each delivery, Amazon will send you a reminder email showing the item price and any applicable discount for your upcoming delivery. The price of the item may decrease or increase from delivery to delivery, depending on the Amazon.com price of the item at the time they process your order.

How do you do this with subscribe and save? You have to do the subscribe and save one at a time? When does the discount apply if you do s & s?

I was just coming to ask that myself….

I just placed an order. After you add the items to your cart there is a subscribe option for each item. I clicked that then made mine for every 6 months. I’m getting my first order shipped immediately (I think) then my first subscribe order is set for June 18th.

If you have 1-5 items in the same S&S order you save 5% on each item. If you have 5 or more items it usually goes up to 15%. You can cancel any time after it ships.

FYI- amazon can change the price after checkout but before item ships. Even on your first order. Shady business! I stopped using subscribe & save for this reason.

      • Nicole

I don’t think they can change the price on your first shipment. This has never happened to me and I use S&S a lot. Unless this is a brand new policy…

The first time I read that amazon was doing that I got nervous about it, but it has never happened to me and I first heard this months ago. I typically do a gift c and reload on my account and just use that to pay for all my subscribe and save orders and I’ve never been charged more.

Ok, this comment should be deleted because it’s not true.

I read this on here months ago. I started going back through my subscribe and save and a few had been increased. Just small amounts but very frustrating. I contacted amazon and they said you should always review in the days before shipping. They send an email. They gave me credit for the prices in question but I don’t have time to check each item all the time. Just my experience.

The price can go up or down after the first time you add it. So if you subscribe for something every month, the next month it may be higher. That’s why they send you an email stating to check it over before they process it. Simply just delete the items you don’t want again at that price point.

It is true the prices do change so you always have to check before your items ship. If something changes you can cancel before it ships. They send an email that’s says your items are going to be shipped. I always cancel after my shipment so I don’t have to check prices.

I haven’t paid too much attention to this recently because I stopped using subscribe and save. I don’t think the price changes on your first order (I never saw that happen), but I used to get emails telling me that this price increased. Or maybe I’m imagining it?

My most recent issue — did you know you can’t return Prime Pantry or Fresh items?? I actually complained to Jeff’s email and the response was that you have to search the help page for non-returnable items (everything from those delivery methods) to learn this. Unbelievable!
