I hit the wal-mart clearance yesterday and my store had a bunch of white, green, and red cookie frostings, and lots of sprinkles of all kinds reds, whites, greens, silver and gold. starting at $.50. The most expensive was a big 4 pack for just over $2. and it was all still 75% off. I stocked up to make cookies for Valentines and St. Patrick’s day! Super stoked.

I am not a big Walmart fan, generally speaking. I’m a Target girl at heart. However, I have to say, the Christmas section at Walmart has really been superior to Target this year and I have really loved the quality of their wrapping paper. I grabbed a bunch at my local store last weekend at 75% off and was THRILLED to stock up on some attractive and decent quality paper. If your store has paper left, I highly recommend it! I also grabbed a white pre-lit tree and a pretty nice sized box of silver/gold ornaments for $11 total – and my Walmart also had quite a few trees left as of this past weekend. Really nice deals to stock up for late this year!

I already have more then enough Christmas wrapping paper, but while browsing through Walmart’s Christmas clearance, I found several large Hallmark wrapping paper rolls that could definitely be used as all occasion wrap. (I believe they were “intended” for Christmas wrap, but could be passed off as all occasion).
I do the same. I grabbed a striped one and silver one last week.

My husband found 2 6ft trees for $3 at our Walmart! They are a bit smaller but work for our small living space!

Rumor has it wags will not go 90% per say this year. They are only supposed to go 80% next week on Tuesday. Right now they are 70% off and buy 5 get the 6th one free. Who knows if we will also see a buy x get 1 free offer next week as well.

I snagged 2 gingerbread house kits for $1.50 each yesterday! Our daughter enters a competition each year, so this will be great to stash away for December!

I got a gingerbread train kit today, for $0.89. This location only had a few Christmas things left. Just a few dessert items in the regular clearance area.

My two local Walmart’s boxed everything up a few days ago to reset the garden center with regular stock items. Before doing so though, all remaining Christmas was marked to 50c. No, i didn’t get anything too outrageous like a tree or anything – that stuff was long gone. But it was a cool surprise to get what I wanted for that cheap. Picked up some wrapping paper, scrunchies, Oreos (since I can never find the holiday ones at target), a couple holiday themed kitchen items (paring knife, cookie scoop, and peeler) from Farberware, and some leggings.
Not a single thing Christmas to be found in my stores !!
Checked two stores in Spfd. Mo to find almost nothing left and still at 75%

Still 75% this morning for me in Denver. Got some tissue that must have been hidden away earlier. My local WM had an excess of Christmas left over this year. Picked over but still several aisles left today.

Found it very hard to find large Christmas gift tags in about 6 stores. Got 5 sets of holiday cards and used a hole punch and some clearance ribbon to make my own tags. Walmart had a great selection at 75% off in StLouis.
Plenty left at the Hollywood, FL store.

Sorry I didn’t come back to this yesterday, but yes good stuff and yes, 90%. There’s enough that it’s worth a trip if you need the basics like wrap, bags, bows, stockings, tags. There were lots of gingerbread kits at $.89. I found these cute Farberware chip clips that I didn’t even see before. 3 pk for $.39.

Only 75% off here also; entire state of New Jersey. 90% off is usually 1/11, but I have a funny feeling that it may be 1/10 this year.

So interesting to see the different time lines for Christmas clearance across the country. I went shopping Tuesday night 1/7 and all Christmas items were 25 cents. I got lots of wrapping paper and a gingerbread cookie snack mix. After coming home, I regretted not getting the gingerbread houses on sale for 25 cents so planned on going again the next morning 1/8 and picking up more gingerbread cookie snack mix and the gingerbread houses. Sadly, the holiday clearance area was completely cleared out and in was coming the fertilizer and gardening supplies. Maybe Virginia needs to get the gardening stuff stocked more quickly than colder areas. I was disappointed. If you live in an area where it’s at 75% or 90% off you may want to keep checking in case it goes to 25 cents!
I’m in VA and hit a Walmart today. Signs were marked 90 percent off but nothing was scanning 90 percent off. I didn’t feel like arguing what constituted “holiday” merchandise so I passed on all except for some bath bombs. Found some big kids clothes for $1 too. I had my eye on some headbands on “clearance” that were nearly $10 and just found them online for $5. The *regular* price was my store’s clearance price. Why do you play such games with us, Walmart?!?
I went 2 days ago and they had already boxed all Walmart Christmas up. It never even went to 90%. There were so many pallets of stuff- I don’t know why they did it so early. I am in Charlotte, NC
When I talked to some employees here, they claimed they were unsure if it would even go 90 this year- they were saying they might be boxing it up and sending it back to corporate for next year and donating the edible items… idk though… but that was also a store that has a lot of theft issues….

I went to ours in western NY yesterday. My exciting find was in the clearance craft section. I got iron on glitter vinyl in red/gold/green and black/white/silver, 3-8”x9” for 1.49(75% off)
Ours went to 90% off at midnight, so officially on 1/10. (Fayetteville / Bentonville, AR).
Mulitple stores here within a few minutes of each other, each having varying items left.
One store had a whole isle of just boxes. Seems like (here at least) there’s a ton of wrapping paper, boxes, candy canes, and gift bags. Very limited on ornaments, tissue paper, etc.
No trees or lights.
My WM was still at 75% yesterday afternoon, but it was at 90% this morning.
I was told the 90% which started today was nationwide. Most stores have little left, but I found enough to make it worthwhile. I found 2 pk coat boxes $.32, 2 pk dress boxes $.32, 2 pk gift wrap $.59, ugly Christmas sweaters $1.99, leggings $.78, beanie sets which included hats and gloves $.79. Many of the beanies were pale blue with white snowflakes so I got all they had to donate to foster children.
Mine just went 90% today. They had lots left. I was surprised since they usually don’t have much left by 90% off. Great surprise!!
My local store went to 90% off today. But, the wrapping paper all scanned at 75% off, on my phone. So, I skipped that. But, the best things I found weren’t in the Christmas clearance area. I had been watching these 4-piece Peanuts character drinking glasses and they scanned now at $1.49. They also had “Star Wars”, “Friends”, etc… I had noticed that some Christmas-themed housewares items had been moved to the regular clearance area over the last week or so. I checked today and they were, also, 90% off. I got matching shower curtains, bath mats for $0.50 each and vinyl table cloths for $0.39. There were also ceramic Santa cookies plates for $0.29. I broke one in the bag. But, I guess, Santa only needs one cookie plate anyway. I found a 3-pk set of designer imposter fragrances for men, for $0.49 and some little bath bombs for $0.10. I was surprised to find anything like that still available.
