I’ve heard mixed reviews. Some people said delivery came a week late or that flowers were horrible while others said they lasted forever. Any one had experience with Costco? I was thinking of being silly and have some delivered to hubby on the jobsite lol

I’ve ordered these many times. I find the red ones are consistently high quality and all have always arrived on time. The orange were good also. The rest I’ve tried (white, pink, mix colors) have been not so great looking, but most perk up well after cutting and water – they just look ugh when they arrive. FWIW, besides Valentine’s, these are normally $39.99 for 50 and I order them OFTEN for administrative folks, sister, gal pals, and when I’m having people over. 50 roses makes for many arrangements throughout the house or on the buffet.

    How do they come packaged?

    • Susan

Typically swaddled in paper fabric material in a box.

Was there a Groupon posted earlier? I sent it to my husband and he sees it’s not valid and there is no customer support (phone number or other). He’s kinda ticked off. I’m thinking the post was removed…Thank you!

    • Stormy

He SAYS it’s not valid. Not “sees.” He bought the $15 one.

Sure was! You can find that here.

My sister and I buy these roses from Costco several times a year for our grandma. They are always beautiful and delivered promptly. (You can choose the delivery date but sometimes cannot choose certain dates, if that makes sense.) Her favorite color is orange, so we’ve bought those several times with great luck. We’ve also bought yellow ones, red ones and a yellow, red, white combo. Always lovely and we will absolutely continue ordering through Costco. And, we placed our first order because of a post here on Hip2Save, so thank you a million times over!!!

I was at the dollar tree checking out yesterday and the woman in front of me was a local florist buying tons of vases and valentine’s day helium balloons. So when you buy that $50 flower arrangement from the florist, it’s literally just a dollar tree vase and balloon. When I got home I looked up bulk flowers and thought about putting together some arrangements myself with dollar tree supplies. I have ordered bulk flowers from Sam’s club in the past and they turned out pretty well. We used them for my wedding. The delivery was a little late, if I remember correctly, but late by like a day, not a week like I’ve heard from others.

While it is true that the vases are inexpensive glass and you can get the balloons and such at the dollar store, when you buy from a florist you are paying someone to get the supplies and spend their time on the arrangement. For some people (myself often included) it makes sense to save the money and buy the supplies and spend time doing it yourself. There are times though that people don’t have the time or ability to put into it and they need the florist to “take care of it.” That is why one would pay the premium amount and have it done for you.

Thanks! Ordered the 50 count yellow for $39.98. Perfect timing for mom’s birthday.

You’re welcome, Nicole! Happy Birthday to your mom!
