I have this and frequently use it for 1-2 batches of spinach artichoke dip. I put it on high to heat it and low keeps it hot. It can scorch the cheese left on the sides if the level of the dip is below it. It’s been great every time it use. When serving, if I feel like low is still too hot I’ll turn it off and set a timer on my phone to turn it back on.
We have this and it is great for empty nesters. Easy to clean too since the small insert fits so easily in the dishwasher.
These Crock-Pot recipes only use THREE ingredients!

Great size for dips.
I bought one of the 2 quart sized last year but the cover didn’t seem to fit right so I returned it… it may have been a defect.
All crockpots have this feature of a loose-fitting lid. It needs “venting” over the long cooking time, otherwise, it would build up too much pressure. I actually don’t even use my lid; I cover it with foil and poke a hole in the top to vent. I like this much better. Hope this helps.
I have many crockpots, this one didn’t seem big enough to even sit on the opening. They always say not to take the cover off because it will lose heat, so why would you add a vent hole to foil?
The hole in the foil lets the steam escape, just as the gap with the loose-fitting lid does. For example, my rice cooker has a little hole in the lid to let the built-up steam escape, if not, too much pressure would build up. After I broke my glass lid, I started using a piece of foil with a vent hole. It works just the same and I actually prefer it.
