Thanks for sharing. How do you save this post? In the past, there was a heart icon in the app to save into HipList but it’s no longer there. I tried the website as well even after login, click on cookbook, it doesn’t seem to do anything. There was no option for adding to HipList either. Please help. Thanks.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi there! That feature will be available again in the New App! Be sure to stay tuned. If on your desktop, be sure to login and you can add this to your “Cookbook”. That option still works for me in Chrome on my laptop. Hoping that helps!

      • Ms

Hi Amber, once added to cookbook on the web, how do I access the article? Is cookbook a separate app or is it within Hip2Save like the HipList? Thanks.

        • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Yes! When logged in, be sure to head to the top right of the site where you see your account. There you will find a drop box when you hover over your account icon. You can then click on your “cookbook” and your saved items will be listed. Hope that helps!

          • Ms

Thanks, Amber. Unfortunately, I don’t see cookbook under my account on the web, only HipList. Not exactly sure what’s going on. I’m using safari on my iphone.

            • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh darn. You’re welcome, Ms. Maybe try again on a desktop if possible.

I have made the kalua pork several times with a couple small changes and it is sooo good! I slice a whole banana (peel and all) in half lengthwise and lay on top during cooking. Remove before shredding. Also, the recipe I have says to cook on low 16-20 hours. So tender when its done! I serve this on Hawaiian buns!!

    • Jenn Morgan

I hope you don’t mind that I’ve copied your recipe suggestion to add to my shared post. It doesn’t have your name or anything, just your great tips♥️ Thank you and Merry Christmas♥️

The BBQ chicken recipe doesn’t specify the size of the can or bottle of root beer/Coke/Dr. Pepper.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Sara! For that you can use “1/2 bottle or can of root beer “. They will be 12 oz. Hope that helps!

  5. MJ

Thank you 😊I was just thinking today I need to crockpot more!!

  6. FosteringLove

Thank you! Hubby and I are learning how to cook, neither of us were really taught growing up. Now that we’re about to foster and have a bigger family, we need to make bigger dinners, we figured easy crock pot recipes were the way to go. We’ve only learned 3 so far so this was super helpful! I bought the ingredients needed to make a couple of these to try out over the next couple of weeks.

I had found a recipe that makes the pork chops better, you could also use chicken. But it uses more ingredients of course.

You put the meat in the slow cooker. Sprinkle paprika over them. I use a good coating for myself. Then sprinkle the package of ranch seasoning over them then 1 tablespoon of melted butter. Cook on low for 4 hours.

After 4 hours melt 1 tablespoon butter along with minced garlic, recipe says 1/4 teaspoon but I use about a tablespoon or more, in a saucepan.

Add 1 can cream of chicken(have also used cream of mushroom and we love both)

    8 oz cream cheese
    1/2 cup chicken broth
    1/8 teaspoon dried oregano
    1/4 teaspoon dried parsley flakes

Stir until mixed over medium heat, pour over mixture in slow cooker cook for an additional 1 and a half to 2 hours.

Can serve over mashed potatoes, rice or egg noodles.

I work for a doctor at her house – she has triplets and a 3 yrs she sends her children to school and goes to work she is gynecologist and her favorite thing is the crockpot and I have got so many recipes from seeing her – she cooks so many chicken dishes and the last one she did was steaw meat she just put brown the meat in flour and throw bay leaves carrots potatoes onions on slow by the time she got home dinner ready- another thing she cooked she made turkey patties mixed the turkey meat ground with onion Lipton mixed it made into patties cooked on grill made avocado mix with garlic and lemon juice put into cooked patties gave them to the children to eat no bread and gave them brócoli 🥦 steam instead of chips and dinner it’s done and she goes to take them to dance classes or soccer practice – but the crockpot has been so useful

I just cut and paste to word and then print it or you can save to your computer as a word document or a usb. I have done all three.

  11. Suzanne H

I need this right now. Our son is playing football this year and he has 3-5 practices + a Saturday game each week. I have been scrambling to make VERY fast dinners. We get home around 8 each night so it would be great to have dinner waiting!

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Perfect! Yes we have sports every night too and eat either at 4pm or late! Thanks for stopping by!

  12. Sara

I have made the BBQ pulled chicken and pulled pork. Also my husband made the apple butter a few weeks back. I have made the italian chicken but I also made ranch chicken, same concept except I only used chicken breasts, cream cheese and a packet of dry ranch seasoning. All were really awesome recipes.

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Yay! This is so awesome to hear ❤️

  13. Jen S.

Just made the slow cooker taco meat tonight with ground turkey. Used 1 cup salsa instead of rotel. It was SO good! Used my 1.5 qt slow cooker… perfect size for one pound of meat. First hour on high and switch to low for 3-4. Definitely making again!

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh that’s so fun to hear – thanks for sharing Jen!

  14. Mary Anne

  17. James

If I cook cranberry chicken for 8 hours instead of 6.. will it burn/be on for too long? I’m out of the house 8 hours a day for work, and would love to come home to some cranberry chicken. I’m a total newbie to cooking, so please bare with me. Thanks

    • chantelrebecca1

You can get a programmable crock pot that goes from active cooking to just keeping food warm after a period of time. I would recommend that.

  18. Cheryl Huff

The chili recipe is for the stove top. How would you adapt it to make it in a slow cooker?

  19. Christine

    Something with lamb cutlets
