Slow Cooker Ranch Mashed Potatoes

(Recipe from Taste of Home)

Ingredients:

6 cups (about 2.5 lbs.) Russet Potatoes, peeled, cooked, mashed
1/2 cup Sour Cream
1 envelope ranch salad dressing mix (or 3 Tbsp of the economy size pictured from Costco)
8 oz. (1 package) Cream Cheese
1/4 cup Butter, softened
Garnish with chopped chives – optional
How to make Ranch mashed potatoes
Directions:

Start with plain cooked mashed potatoes with no milk or salt. (I like to peel and cook mine the day before!). Stir in butter, ranch seasoning, cream cheese, and sour cream. Cook on low for about 2.5-3 hours. Stir well before serving. Garnish with fresh chives if desired. Makes about 8-10 servings.

Some of my family members aren’t necessarily huge mashed potato fans but they love these! They come out creamy with lots of flavor. Enjoy! 🙂

    You say you make the potatoes the day before. How do you store them overnight? I would like to make my mashed potatoes today but am not sure how to have them come out like fresh.

    YUMMM!!! It says to use 3oz. (1 package) cream cheese.. isn’t a package of cream cheese, 8 oz?

        I was going to ask the same thing as I used 3 oz of cream cheese and the potatoes were very very strong in ranch flavor. I’ll go back and add the additional cream cheese. This will correct the problem. Thanks.
