That top one looks like it could be great for Herbs! Spray paint it to match! Thanks for posting!
What a great idea! You’re welcome, Ivy!
Seems like a lot of colors out of stock , great idea .
Does anyone know of any stores shipping potting soil? The Lowes and Home Depots close to me are only doing store pick up. I am staying home. Thanks for any help.
This may not help, but I actually ordered my potting soil through Walmart Grocery pickup. I did have to drive up, but I never had to get out of my car or touch anything. The Miracle Grow potting soil that I bought is on sale this week, and less expensive than other places in our area.
Me too! I got some via Walmart pickup. I’m not going out either! I haven’t been anywhere IN the public for 31 days!
Thank you so much!
Everytime I go to Walmartgrocery.com, there is no pickup available in the next 2 days and the website does not show any time slots beyond 2 days. Glad you were able to do that.
Hi Shirley! I’ve also noticed it can be hard to grab a grocery pickup time slot. I have had luck scoring one when checking SUPER early in the morning. Hoping that helps!
New time slots open up at midnight. I had my list ready then picked a time slot and was able to complete my order.
Thanks for the helpful tip, Michele!
I have 4 of the City Pickers boxes and used them for last years growing season. They are quite shallow and I did not have great success with them. I am hoping for a better year with them this year since I know what hated the shallow dirt but we will see. Peppers, zucchini and carrots were not successful. I did not try tomatoes since I do those in big pots. Green beans were most successful and I just plan to do those in all four this year.
I did strawberry plants and borage (edible flower)in my city pickers. The strawberries were small the first year and flourished the next summer (which I’m told is normal for first planting strawberries) since I didn’t empty the plant over winter. The kids had a great time eating flowers!
Borage leaves make wonderful tea! We have not done well with strawberries here. The ants will not leave them alone and eat them before they ripen. I’m glad you had success with them!
the Aquamarine & Brown are $23.98
I grew tomatoes and peppers in mine last year and they were great (got 4 to 6 feet tall) I was really careful to do all the special soil and fertilizer, etc…steps. Maybe I just got lucky? I grew black cherry tomatoes and small baby peppers.
