Some restaurants are offering free food to the heroes of the coronavirus crisis.
Uniformed medical workers and first responders can now get a free small combo meal at one of the over 250 company-owned Checkers and Rally’s restaurants across the country.
Employees of the company-owned Checkers and Rally’s restaurants, also considered essential workers, will receive a free small combo on the days they work as well.
Combo meals include your choice of a Big Buford, Baconzilla!, Cheese Champ, 5pc Classic Wings Combo, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Deep Sea Double, Half-Pound Chicken Bites, Chili Dog or BBQ Bacon Roadhouse. The combo also comes with small Famous Seasoned Fries and a small drink.
Frances Allen, CEO of Checkers & Rally’s, said in a news release:
“It has been heartwarming to see amazing acts of kindness throughout our system by our franchise owners, team members, and customers over the last few weeks. It is more important now than ever before to focus on giving back and supporting the communities that have supported us for more than 30 years.”
These companies are supporting frontline responders with freebies and other perks!
Does anyone have a link to the 250 participating locations
Hi there! You could always call in to your location to be sure that they are one of the participating locations. Hope this helps!
As a nurse myself, I’m truly thankful for everything people are doing for medical personal and first responders. I do wish companies saw the need to help others who are working their tails off as well right now. My husband works in the trucking industry for a major grocery chain. He’s having to work 6 days a week, 14 hours each (as are THOUSANDS of others) and I wish people realized how dependent we are on them. It’s an insane time, I truly am grateful for everything being done, I just wish we could extend the hand to others who are working their own ‘front line’ currently.
Thanks so much to you and your husband both, for the work that you do! It is much appreciated! 💕
Remember we can still smile through our face masks & people can tell. #smilingeyes
