Microban 24-Hour disinfectant sprays promise to kill bacteria on surfaces for up to 24 hours after they’ve been sprayed, even after multiple touches. The solution then activates small amounts of bacterial-resistant ingredients over time.

I don’t think these are anti-viral against COVID?

    • Kindra

It says on the back of the bottle that it kills viruses in 60 seconds and it includes the coronavirus along with other viruses.

      • amsf32

But check the actual product website. It says it is NOT effective against COVID

        • J

Bingo! Check the website, it doesn’t kill COVID19.

          • hipster897

            https://www.microban24.com/faq/

“Is Microban Registered for use against antimicrobial products to use against Covid-19?
The EPA issued guidance outlining EPA’s registered antimicrobial products for use against COVID-19. Microban 24 Multi-Purpose Cleaner (EPA registration #4091-21-3573), Microban 24 Bathroom Cleaner (EPA registration #4091-22-3573), and Microban 24 Sanitizing Spray (EPA registration #4091-20-3573) are all included on the EPA list of acceptable products. However, given the EPA list is based off the registration and not Brand, they appear on the list as Condor 2, Raptor 5, and Phoenix 2 respectively. On this registered list, Microban 24 products appear registered to WM Barr, P&G’s technology partner in this latest innovation.

The American Chemistry Council’s Center for Biocide Chemistries also published a list of over 100 products that are approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to be used against viruses like COVID-19. Microban 24 Multi-Purpose Cleaner, Microban 24 Bathroom Cleaner, and Microban 24 Sanitizing Spray were all included on that list.”

    • Yeasss

The description states “When used as directed, **Effective against S. aureus & E. aerogenes, ***Effective against Human Coronavirus, Influenza a H1N1 & Respiratory Syncytial Virus

      • Tracie

Human Coronavirus is different from COVID-19

  2. Megan

All the multipurpose spray was out of stock for shipping for me so I got bathroom cleaner. Who says I can only use it in the bathroom 🙂

    • Kaylee

Exactly! I bought two and will def use them in the kitchen too.

    • Cindi

Same I bought some of the bathroom ones. It does say use on non-porous so I might not use on my granite counter tops. Bought some for my friend who is a hair dresser for their salon. Anything to help them out.

  3. Lindsey

    yup – anti-bacterial not anti-viral

  4. MrsG

It is effective against the Coronavirus. Just read the product details. ☺️

    • J

Not effective against COVID19, please read website. Only Lysol or Clorox sprays are effective.

      • Brittany

Not sure what you’re talking about J but Target’s product details AND the Microban website both say they are effective against COVID19

  5. mamaof3

You can check on CDC for the specific effective cleaners against COVID

    • Amy

It sounds like that webpage is talking about physical products, like toys, that advertise using Microban in their plastic when made. It doesn’t sound as much like it is talking about their cleaning products.

  6. latincupon

I scored thank you so much Colin…I am out of wipe.

  7. Rn404

I was hoping the sanitizing spray like the Lysol would be avail

  8. amsf32

On the product website, it says it is not effective against COVID

  9. Suzanne H

  11. TiffMeow

I love the spray. I made disinfecting wipes out of the spray and a little water and paper towels of course.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

I’ve done that with disinfecting spray too! Thanks for the tip!

  12. Tammy Jo

    Thank you so so much

  14. mamabear7

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Yay! You’re welcome!

  15. Mel

Can’t send to my zip code/ in store purchase only. I live in the wrong area

  16. Mona100

    Out of stock 🙁

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Maybe try back again. I was able to add one to my cart and head to checkout. Hoping you can score one!

  17. Maggie

Don’t stress if you missed the deal — regular laundry bleach diluted in a spray bottle with water is effective and cheap. Dilute 1 part bleach to 9 parts water to make a 10% solution that is plenty powerful to get even bodily fluid-contaminated areas disinfected — it’s even stronger than the CDC says is needed for regular disinfecting. It is probably already in your laundry cabinet. (It needs to be REGULAR bleach, not splashless, which doesn’t disinfect). I’m also seeing bleach in stock with curbside pickup at our regular local grocery stores.

  18. grandmat57

    Dead deal!!! GONE!!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

I still find an option available as I head to checkout. Hoping you can score one!

It is amazing how mainstream media has literally put everyone in a tizzy. Have you all seen the videos of civilian reporters going from hospital to hospital and all the hospitals are completely EMPTY! Hospitals are going bankrupt because they canceled all non-essential procedures and now there are literally no patients at these hospitals. I am not making this up, look it up. My doctor friend is taking a 10% pay cut because of this. They are literally collapsing our economy for what?!

    • doyourhomewrok

i am not saying people aren’t dying from this but not what fake news it making it out to be. Reports have literally debunked some of the images and videos coming out from the hospitals. Same shots that they are claiming comes from the certain ERs are being used over and over again for different ER shots.

      • Observant mom

How is this relevant to the deal?

      • Lauren

Cool—I’m glad your area isn’t suffering deeply from this pandemic. Mine is. We have thousands dying (imagine having to say goodbye over the phone to your dying mother and your dying father within the same week—it’s happened). My friends and mother who work in healthcare are battered and exhausted and doing their best. Your comment is a slap in the face to these people trying to save as many lives as they can, knowing they’ll likely lose at least one patient every time they go to work. YES, there are people recovering, but there are also people who aren’t, by the thousands. Just because you’re not seeing it doesn’t make it fake news. Count your blessings and shut your mouth. (Also, I’m pretty sure a doctor can weather a 10% pay cut without tanking the economy. My husband makes substantially less than a doctor and got a 23% pay cut and we’re gonna manage. Not saying it’s ideal for anyone, but I’m not particularly concerned about the finances of someone who is a high earner. Come back when you want to chat about the auto mechanics out of work or anyone living paycheck to paycheck.)

  20. Erin

Well the comments spiraled out real fast. People..its disinfectant, if it makes people feel safer or feel better that is not a bad thing. And everyone cleans regardless of this situation. Thanks to Hip2Save for posting deals and helping people find things online who cannot get out, we are all trying to navigate the new normal right now.

  21. Maria

I researched and Microban is a very new product and has yet been reviewed by EPA to formally confirm that it qualifies as a COVID-19 disinfectant. It does state it kills certain corona strands. I’m sure news will be out soon. I was at Kroger this morning and Microban bathroom sprays was $5. Bleach solution and surface left wet for one minute is an effective and less expensive alternative.

      From their website:

  22. jennifer

I can’t get any. Out of stock online and not in my local store

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Bummer! I’m still able to grab one. Maybe wait a moment and try again in a different browser. Hoping you can snag one soon!

  23. Kareng229

For cleaners that kill the Coronavirus, check the EPA list N. The CDC refers you to the EPA for cleaners. You can find the EPA ref nbr on the back of any cleaner bottle.

  24. Bunny

Check your local Dollar stores. Mine had several bleach containers in stock last week.

  25. Alex

    Just ordered.

  26. Jamie

    Got some! Thank you!!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      You’re welcome, Jamie!

  27. marymariebrown

All were back in stock at my store online

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Yay!

  28. Tawanna

Thank you was able to ship to family in VA who have been unable to find any type of cleaning products.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

How sweet. You’re so welcome! Happy you could send them some!

  29. nettienoo

Was just able To score some thank you!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

      You are welcome, nettienoo!

  30. Laura

I believe the effectiveness discrepancies are coming from the fact that Microban and Microban24 are different products. The Microban24 website states that it is effective and is is on the EPA list under its registration number. Be well!
