I had been researching the Instant Pot for months, and I was intrigued but wasn’t sure I wanted to spend a lot on an appliance I might not end up liking or using. So when the Insignia 8 quart model came on sale at Best Buy, it was too good to pass up. Little did I know that I would love it so much that I would end up buying a second one too! We are huge fans of pressure cooking now!
We have done a full turkey breast (bone in), a small ham, tons of chicken recipes, pulled pork, soups, pasta, cakes, and everything has been SO GOOD! The pressure cooking infuses your food with so much flavor. Everything comes out tender, moist, and delicious. It also has a sauté mode, which comes in very handy.
We find ourselves cooking in this almost every night now. It is fun to use, easy to operate, saves us time, and the food tastes great. We are enjoying experimenting with new recipes and eating better than ever.
This unit is easy to clean and includes an instruction book. Unfortunately, there are no recipes included, but you can find tons of Instant Pot recipes online and on YouTube. Most of the Instant Pot optional accessories will fit this pot too!
Awesome deal
I’m crying…I bought the 6Qt for the same price a wk ago. Should I return?
Is this like the instapot?
Also, it says it has Teflon inside and the instapot is stainless? Someone mentioned that the Teflon might wear off after a while and I’m assuming that if it’s a pressure cooker that might not be good?
What’s the current best deal on Insta Pot?
Teflon pot is good to go for everyday use? Or i need to get instant pot?
I bought it a few weeks ago and it works amazing! Yes it a pressure cooker and has amazing reviews at Best Buy.com I’ve used it for everything and seem to handle well. I’m a stay at home mom of 3 kids and always have cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner at home. So I’m happy to have bought this and not payed so much.
So pot work good for you?
Any other good things about this cooker that you would like to share? I heard non stic pot has no good quality compare to instapot…
I bought this and returned it for this price around Christmas. It is huge and heavy. I didn’t see myself hauling it out very often.
