Is not scent free as advertised. Also leaves hands a little sticky. I know hand sanitizer is hard to find, but wouldn’t recommend this unless desperate.

    • frugal-fit-sexy

Hmm, I bought this one from Sam’s club and love it. No smell and no residue on my hands.

      • Doug

Read reviews at Targert…saying the same about the smell.

    • Nicole

It smells like rubbing alcohol but no scent otherwise. I have two of these.

    • mommyx4

Maybe some of us are just sensitive to smell honestly i almost vomit the first time I used this now I make sure.to put it on while I’m out of the car.

      • Holly

I had to throw it straight in the trash- the smell is so gross, I thought something was wrong with it.

  2. T. Gibbs

It has a limit of 1 per order. I was able to grab one, but looks like they’re sold out now.

Thanks for letting us know! The post has been expired.

      • Jen

        Back in stock.

  3. EILEEN ROSENBLATT

I bought it at the store yesterday. Haven’t tried it yet.

  4. RachelD

I got this from Target a few weeks ago. It has no scent.

  5. Barbara

I got this when you posted a few weeks ago. I have it on my desk at home. I use it daily. It’s not sticky. It smells like alcohol when you first apply it but with almost 63% alcohol that’s what you would expect. It quickly dissipates though. I like it.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

      Thanks so much, Barbara!

  6. tracey

I almost bought this at Sam’s club and read the reviews. Some people think it’s ok but there is a large group that thinks it is awful. I also read the Target reviews. Not sure if there are bad batches out there or what.

  7. Julia

It is only sticky until it dries thoroughly and there is no odor once it is dry either.

I have it and it is just fine. You can smell the alcohol but it is alcohol. It does have a fair amount of emollients but in my opinion that’s good. Some people like fewer softening agents and perfumes. It’s a good basic hand sanitizer.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

      Thanks for the review, JD827!

  9. claudiasilva

I got this and have no issues I rather have any hand sanitizer than nothing

  10. Gloria

It only contains 62% alcohol not what is recommended

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Hi, Gloria! The CDC recommends using hand sanitizer with greater than 60% ethanol (ethyl alcohol) or 70% isopropanol. This one contains 60% ethyl alcohol so it meets those recommendations. Hope this helps!

  11. Adriann Renee

    Yesss.. the smell is awful!!

  12. Pam

    The smell is awful!!

  13. Trent

I have this and it smells really bad. Worse than most sanitizers

  14. Cooper

My store had the 8oz in stock for $1.99 and the tiny small bottle for 99 cents. They had TONS too.

  15. Lauren

The smell is obnoxious to me. The smell makes me sick to my stomach. I have it in the car as my desperate go to. But I tolerate it to keep myself safer than nothing at all.

  16. Val

Today I was able to snatch GermX 32 oz bottle for $5.99 on Target.com.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

SWEET! Thanks for sharing your score with us, Val!

  17. ambertovar

Some of the hand sanitizer products being sold at Target appear to be fake. This does not smell like alcohol at all but smells so disgusting that it can’t be real hand sanitizer. The product has been removed from the Target website but I would like to know if it could be dangerous.

  18. Sue Parenteau

Anyone know if this is a “safe” sanitizer?

    • Stacy F (Hip2Save Sidekick)

When I search the database of FDA’s unsafe hand sanitizers, Art Naturals is NOT on there so it should be safe to use.

      • Sue

Thank you! I hope it was tested. :/
