I’ve been searching for this for a while! Thank you!
Oh perfect! Happy you could grab what you were looking for! You’re SO very welcome!
Thank you! I sent one to my friend in SoCal. She has been searching for weeks/months for anything higher than 50% strength as they were out of both 70% & 91% alcohol in all stores whether CVS, Target, Walmart, Walgreens, etc. I even gave her the Brickseek.com Inventory tracker link & everytime I’d check for her, they’d be out of stock. She really needs it as she has a family member who has a preexisting medical condition. Thanks again Hip2Save!
You are SO very welcome, Jade! How sweet! Happy you could send one to your friend!
Unfortunately WHO tested and confirmed sanitizers have to be at least 75% isopropyl alcohol to inactivate COVID-19 virus. So this isn’t effective as hand sanitizer. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/covid-19-hand-sanitizers-inactivate-novel-coronavirus-study-finds#Two-formulations
Interesting! The CDC states that 70 percent is effective. (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/hand-hygiene.html
CDC recommends using ABHR with greater than 60% ethanol or 70% isopropanol in healthcare settings. Unless hands are visibly soiled, an alcohol-based hand rub is preferred over soap and water in most clinical situations due to evidence of better compliance compared to soap and water.)
Who knows?!
CDC says greater than 70% isopropanol, so must be higher than this one on sale at Walmart. And given tolerances in manufacturing, I would be more conservative.
That’s weird. At our Hospital our Sanitizer is 70%.
I am have found the 2 pack of 70% at Costco now to be available in store, as well as toilet paper. They also are carrying Odoban concentrate disinfectant. Sam’s has Odoban as well.
