Any Chip and Joana Gaines fans out there? The couple recently announced that another season of Fixer Upper is in the works!

The show will be airing on the couple’s Magnolia Network – which is set to launch in 2021.

“This past year, we have poured our hearts into content and programming for Magnolia Network. Searching for stories we believe the world needs to hear. Stories that bring us together, that let us see things in a whole new light. Stories that connect us to our roots, and to one another. And for Jo and me, it dawned on us that we wanted to be a part of this lineup with a new season of Fixer Upper.” — Chip Gaines

While they stated that the show will be very similar to the original HGTV program, they also plan to do some things differently. We can’t wait to watch the new and improved Fixer Upper, but in the meantime check out this teaser!

Maybe they’ll have more diversity in their new show? And maybe some color in their designs as well? We watched their show for a while, until we knew exactly what they were going to have their contractors do with each house and every element of the very plain design Joana was doing. “Oh here’s where Chip brings the kids around with donuts or cupcakes from (insert publicized bakery name) because Joana’s working late staging the kitchen by moving a few books and vases around.” Sure, these shows are staged, but this one got old fast.

Thank you, I agree. I also find them both (imo!) disingeuous despite their efforts to seem so. Not bashing just agreeing– wish them the best but won’t be watching their channel now.

      Lol so true

I really enjoy their chemistry on the show. While it did seem that they used neutrals a lot that allowed the new home owners not to be stuck with orange walls. I think their goal was more to revitalize TX neighborhoods. And the best way to get kids to behave on set, treats right? Bring on the cupcakes and cookies(gotta have bargaining “Chip’s”, lol!

I love them and their books and designs!
Also, love Joanna’s receipts. I think she is an American Indian, so what diversity is missing?

      Her mother is korean

The diversity in the couples they do homes for. They did one show with an African American football family. Won’t do a house for two women or two men. Do you think because she’s Korean they have diversity in their show? Also, they just paint everything white. Cool fireplace? Paint it white!
