The class-action suit was brought on by former Google Plus users after two software bugs in 2018 exposed the personal information of hundreds of thousands of users. An investigation in 2018 found that Google was aware of the issue in March of that year, but chose not to publicly disclose it resulting in Google Plus being shut down permanently in April of 2019.

I got a letter for a class action suit, I ignored. They soon sent a letter from fed ex! How official! When I saw all of the info they wanted, I again ignored it. About a year later I received a whooping $3.98 cents. Glad I did not do any work for it! If I were a ceo, I would have received millions, even for running a company into the ground! Hardly seems fair!
I got an email this morning about this and didn’t know if it was legit or not. (since it was in my junk mail) I did a search of it, but was still skeptical about it until your post.
Just got this email. Received a similar one from yahoo awhile back and never heard anything about that again. Was hoping to actually receive some compensation from that one bc I had my account and information hacked after one of the breaches.
