Off the subject but has anyone ever had an issue with Paypal wanting a copy of your Social Security card or they put limitations on your account and you can’t even get money from apps like coupons.com or surveys ect. It just seems like an identity theft issue to me. It is really from PayPal . I am loosing money because of this. Any advice?
When I created my PP account they asked for my ss to confirm identity and credit, but no since that time, It seems weird they are asking for SS now. I have used Paypal for around 5 years and I receive money from my family that is not in the States, I do surveys a lot, sell on Ebay and do daily transactions. You should call Paypal or try customer support first.
Because of Covid-19 taking no phone calls. Weird I find they don’t take last 4 or even number-they have to have copy of card. I don’t even sell or buy stuff, just get the deposits.
If they are asking for your ss number on a email don’t click on the link! Instead go to your Paypal and you will have a message if they are requiring you to submit any information. I had to submit my ss too when i linked my bank info. 🙂
That’s just it I didn’t have to a couple of years ago when sent money to bank account. Now says i have to many deposits. Most are like 25 cents at a time.
They do have now where if you don’t have your SS on file they limit what you can do with your account. I don’t add my SS. Don’t find it necessary since I don’t use my PayPal much. I am allowed to send money to friends(vice versa) & transfer money to my bank.
Also lately they have been sending a scam email about paypal. Tells me my account is locked or restricted. Don’t click in your email like someone else stated. Just go directly to your PayPal.
