Betty Crocker Mug Treats Only $1 at Dollar Tree | Dessert In Less Than A Minute
Dollar Tree is serving up dessert for less!
Head on in to your local Dollar Tree where you may be able to find Betty Crocker Mug Treats for just $1!
These Mug Treats are perfect as a quick and easy dessert for one! I especially like these for my kids who are at the age where they are learning to cook. Add the mix to a mug, pour in water, stir, and microwave for one minute and you have a yummy treat ready to go! Kids will also love putting the icing on their finished cake!
HIP TIP: We posted these Duncan Hines Mug Cake 4-packs on Amazon for as low as $1.75 recently. That makes each treat only 44¢ which beats this Dollar Tree deal. We always try to check out reader tips on where to find things for less, but in this case Amazon beats out Dollar Tree for the best offer. However, these single-serve packs at Dollar Tree are great for gifting or if you don’t want the temptation of having four cakes.
Prefer to shop Target? These Mug Treats are available there for $2.99 for boxes of 4 cakes versus the single servings at Dollar Tree. Target also offers seven different flavors versus.

I bought these at the Dollar Tree last May for a “quarantine baby shower.” They were perfect because the Dollar Tree versions have just one cake mix/ frosting pouch in the box (the ones from the grocery store are a better deal but those boxes hold four cake mix and frosting pouches in one box. It’s really only an issue asthetically because I liked the look of the box verses the pouches.) I put together clear gift bags for every “guest” with an individual box of cake mix, a favor, and any items they needed to play the games and dropped each one off on their porch the day before. On the day of the party we got together virtually to celebrate the new mommy. 🙂
That is an awesome idea.
What a fantastic idea!
Amy, we did something similar! It was my son’s 8th birthday and we were in lockdown. We hosted a zoom birthday party for him and distributed mug cakes, chips, drinks, and needed supplies for games. It was so fun! We’ll always remember his 8th 😊
I’ve also used the mug cakes as a fun way to dress up a gift card for birthdays. Add the cake mix and gift card to a cute mug and you’re all set!
That is so cool! I LOVE the idea of adding it to a gift card!!
My Dollar Trees nearly always have the regular boxes with 4 packets (but not frosting) in various flavors.
I have bought the 4-pack of cake mix and frosting at 99Cent Only store near me, but it’s been awhile. They were fun!
The regular 4 packs are only $2.97 at Walmart making that a slightly better deal if you intend to buy a lot of them…. which I do cause they are delicious 😄
My nine-year-old spendthrift spotted these at Dollar Tree a while ago and commented “What a ripoff! There’s only one in the box!” I was so proud that she finally internalized my lessons about Dollar Tree not always being a bargain! She knows I buy the four-packs when they are .50-$1. But I do love the idea of using these single serves as gift add-ons or favors! I filled Starbucks mugs with individually wrapped snacks for my son’s teachers one year. These would have been a fun addition.
Way to go, mom! That’s awesome to know she’s getting it! What a great story! Thanks for sharing, Erin!
