Perhaps the only good thing to come out of this pandemic is the number of productions we get to watch from our couch, and the latest is Andrew Lloyd Weber’s The Phantom of the Opera, streaming FREE via YouTube on October 10th and 11th only!
This FREE streaming of the full-stage performance is part of ‘The Shows Must Go On’ series, brought to you specifically to share some of the most epic compositions including Evita, Hairspray, and now Phantom right from home.
Note that this FREE production is only available for 24 hours in the UK and 48 hours everywhere else, starting from its premiere on October 9th, 2 pm eastern time – so get your pumpkin desserts and cozy blankets ready!
If you’re not completely versed in all things Opera, this award-winning classic is based on the 1910 French novel, Phantom of the Opera that tells a beautiful, mysterious love story between incredible soprano Christine, and the masked man living beneath the opera house.
The performances are unmatched and the intense songs are so emotional and moving – it’s still one of my favorite soundtracks to listen to on repeat!
The Phantom is currently the longest-running production on Broadway, so if you’ve never seen it, or if you’re a devoted fan, don’t miss out on this Broadway experience minus the expensive ticket prices!

Second play I ever saw. We were close enough to see the individual sequins on the costumes. So fun! Can’t wait to “torture” my boys with watching it. 😝🥰

Channel 12 used to show this play and “Le Miserable” frequently. Now, it is mostly cooking shows and infomercials in between people whining for money!

They cut it off earlier, it is 9:45pm central time oct 11th, I was really looking forward to watch it tonight. I wish I had time yesterday to enjoy it. So, so upset.

For anyone that missed this, Amazon has a Broadway channel subscription w a 7 day free trial and they have the 25th anniversary performance in London available. I too thought it would be all day on the 11th only to see I came too late, but I was able to watch this version.
