Huge Tray of Handmade Baklava Only $10.49 at Costco
Costco always has the best treats!
Head into your local Costco where you may find these huge trays of Handmade Baklava for just $10.49. Note that these are currently only available in-store!
Baklava is a sweet dessert that has layers of filo pastry filled with nuts and is generally held together and sweetened with syrup or honey!
These huge trays would be a perfect treat for family and friends to enjoy on Thanksgiving!
Each tray includes Kitaa Cashew with Pistachio Sprinkles, Cashew Rolls, Finger Cashew, Bilbol Nest Pistachio and Bokaj Cashew with Pistachio Sprinkles. YUM!
sadly it’s no where near the fresh. it tastes stale and outdated. maybe we just got a bad batch? or maybe we are just too Greek 😂😂.
From one Amy to another: I’m not Greek, but I totally agree… Once I learned how to make homemade baklava there was no going back. And it’s surprisingly easy to make!
I could never buy this because I’d eat the whole thing in less than a week..even if it’s a little stale. It’s so many calories but soooooooooo good!
Me too! 😆
I haven’t tried this but my husband is middle eastern and they buy and or make this often. I like heating it up in a microwave for a few seconds
*This brand from cosco
I preferred to make at home. Can some one please share recipe.
The recipe can be found on file dough box or look online “ Delish recipes”….. CAUTION dough drys out Very fast if you don’t cover it, you will end up with crumbs before you get to use it Learned from my Yugoslavian mother-in-law : After unrolling dough, keep covered with damp kitchen towel as you remove one sheet at a time, place in pan, sprinkle with melted butter (I use a spoon to sprinkle).
speaking of new thing during the holiday, has anyone tried the seasoned drumsticks w/ garlic seasoning in a big tray for $1.49/lb near meat/cold food seaction? they look so good but such a big tray to buy just to try,
Thanks! I haven’t tried it, but it sounds delicious!
Anyone have a good and somewhat easier recipe?
I’ve used this recipe before:
https://thegreendivas.com/2013/08/02/oupah-authentic-baklava-recipe/
I usually replace the lemon juice with strips of lemon and orange zest (make sure there is no white pith.) I let the zest steep in the honey mixture while the baklava bakes.
Even I can make this. Thank you for the recipe and the tip about using lemon and orange zest, Amy.
You’re welcome, Aunt Mae! I hope you enjoy it– it has always been a hit with everyone I’ve made it for. 🙂
I have tried this and it wasn’t fresh and it is overly sweet. Better to get fresh from a bakery and support a local mom/pop store near you.
I received this as a gift last Christmas. It’s very good.
there is a greek church in tacoma wa that makes and sells big pans every christmas and it’s amazing
I went to 3 Costco to buy the baklava that they advertised on line and I was disappointed they don’t sell the big tray . I even went to the store and waisted my time and nothing does any one knows where I can buy it .thanks in advance
