Same thoughts. We have a local butcher and he sells it for 9-12.00 a pound. People go crazy for it.

He sells elk and buffalo and they are much cheaper per pound. Kinda strange.
Price is more of a supply thing. Cows don’t get all bulked up when only grass fed so there’s less meat and not as many farms doing it. If farmers switched back to grass fed the price would go down.
We only by organic grass fed beef but at most, I pay $5/lb. this price seems quite high.

I agree with you. I think my base price for Grassfed beef at Aldi is $5 and I stock up when it goes on sale for $4.50. It’s around $5 on sale at Sprouts, also

Mine here in PA is also about $15 for this exact product. I know because I buy it all the time & love it!
About average for us just little less but shipped is good. I’m in WI and even the grass fed around us is minimun $9/lb. because theres less supply. It is tasty. It’s a little smoother texture than grain fed and actually has more vitamins in the actual meat from cows grazing on grass. It is how cows are supposed to eat and how the meat is supposed to taste but the price point is high because of where the market lies.
I purchase the 3 pounds for $18 in store locally – they have definitely included the shipping in the price. So if you live in an area where you cannot get it… taking the SAMS CLUB DISCOUNT bringing it down to $46.98 then it wouldn’t be so bad – knowing this includes shipping.

I’m in Seattle. (I actually shop at Costco #1 !) I don’t recall exactly and haven’t a receipt handy, but my memory is a 3-pack of organic ground beef is about $5-6/lb.
I can get it cheaper at Sprouts. Sale prices vary between $3.99 – $5.99 per pound.
My Sams has this for like 5 per Lb. Then lower fat% at 3.88lb.
